1) Open new document with transparnet Backgrounds

2)Create New Layer

3) add object (such as car or something) for this tutorial i will use a ball from other tut

4) Create New layer useing the airbrush color around half of the object color over the edge it will be trimed later



5)Filter>Stylize>Wind

Method=Stagger
Direction=From the left

6)now ctrl+click the object layer

7)hit Shift+Ctrl+I to inverse your selection then hit your delete key

Now explain what purpose this has in general design? You're on the right track with the tutorial - but it's nowhere near complete as is. Figure out some other things you could do to it and see what else you come up with.
