Rain Can't Fall Here
By Sephyr
Secrets, catastrophe, silence, possibilities.
I love to grin in the face of hate,
I despise these extremely high stakes,
That lead me to these repetitive tragedies.
This is a grey land, a shallow pool.
Blood can't exist where there's no light,
Blood is a vague memory of strife,
And blight takes over and spins the spool.
Ever-spinning, take me away into the night.
Decide my destiny and lay down my path,
Control my life with your righteous wrath,
Rain can't fall from this dead sky.
Pale skin, dizzy, I think I'm gonna faint.
What the hell is wrong with me now?
Is this dementia affecting me somehow?
Am I becoming just another flawless stain?
Oh God, I need a holy ghost.
Maybe I denied it before but this time I swear,
It's a need, not a want, and I truly do care,
It's what I now need the most.
The delirium of boredom rips me open,
It f*cks the wound that is there and laughs in my face,
It stares me down and I am defaced,
Losing my innocence to a law that's unwritten.
Because rain can't fall on these nonexistant grounds.
Rain can't fertilize what is not real,
Objects fake, ungodly, hazardous, and surreal,
Fall to the floor, but outside of my bounds.
Wow, mysterious. Very nice, probably one of my personal favorites. Good job!
