This is old, really old. I wrote it back in 2000. This was the prologe of what was meant to be a multichapter novel, but, being a stupid 11 year old I couldn't match the next chapters to the fluked quality that the prolog has. I may respark this idea later on, so be wary!
Here's the thing:

Transcendence: Opening Story
I find myself fighting off the urge to fall asleep as I push myself toward the Blood Tower. Fighting this massive spell is crucial to winning this war, but...why me? Why am I the only dragon who can defeat this spell? Why am I the only one who can defeat the warlock that is stripping this place of all life? I've so many questions. I already know the answers to them.
This is a battle between Malus and the dragon race. This spell is designed to cast all dragons into an eternal sleep, to keep them away from Him. Why am I able to resist? The answer to all of my questions, including that one, is: I'm not completely a dragon.
Only two months ago and around eight hundred years into the future, I was a naďve 17 year old boy who always felt he was not the same as most humans. Terri was his name. I refer to him as 'he' and not 'I' for we have become two separate entities. Though I no longer have any connection with that boy now, the end of his story marks the beginning of mine. . . . . . . . .

All his life Terri's spent it with an engrossed interest in fantasy and magic. He had always felt as part of that world up until he became 15. He lost that belief so suddenly; he found it to be a childish dream and a result of playing too many RPG's. Though two years later he found his connection with my world was more than a juvenile delusion.
Nearly graduating High School, Terri was set for the summer of his life. He was walking home from school, his car stolen the previous week, when he stumbled across a curiosity shop of sorts that he had not noticed before. He decided to investigate further.
Inside were marvelous tokens of sorcery and witchcraft. Years ago he would have probably thought of buying the entire store. This day, however, he was not as impressed. He scanned the shop, examining many books and symbols of magic, admiring the many workings of crystal. All were at a highly steep price but he had some money from his career. One artifact caught his eye. It was a flute fashioned in the shape of a dragon. Sensing no harm in getting something he purchased it.
Within his home, his parents both at work, he slipped into the privacy of his room. He blew into the flute to hear nothing. He blew harder. Nothing. He looked inside and found a sheet of paper. After taking it our he found it was a musical score. Testing the flute again he got a pure silky ring from it. Satisfied he looked onto the score. It was a strange tune but it sounded so familiar on his recorder. He decided to play it on his flute, although never used on before he played the tune brilliantly.
After finishing the final note the flute glowed red. Terri was surprised to feel it begin to drain the heat from the room. He felt his heart literally being torn from his body as a white mist poured from his very being into the Dragon Flute's mouth. As his body fell to the floor the flute disappeared with his soul.

Chapter 1: Revelation
Huh? What just happened? Where am I? I slowly regained awareness, if you could call it that. I felt pulled in a million directions at once. I couldn’t move nor could I see. There was nothing around me. I wasn’t even breathing, but it felt as if I didn’t need to. What’s happening to me? Last thing I remember is that mysterious flute…what could this mean?
I started to regain mobility. Everything became sore, like blood rushing back into a limb that has been asleep. It was slightly prickly at first, but it soon intensified into an agonizing pain. I couldn’t scream; I couldn’t even speak. I suddenly felt extremely fatigued. I soon saw a light. As it grew brighter, strange voices echoed in my mind.
Come, milady we must escape this storm. Oddly enough I saw the voice rather than heard it. It was a very strange sensation.
Yes, Kain. Perhaps we can seek shelter in the Temple of Tekrion. Maybe I’ll get to see the mystic hero awaken! This voice looked lighter, and, for lack of a better description, blue.
That’s just stupid. How can a voice be blue? At that moment I realized the pain had stopped. All that was left was a dull ache in my limbs and neck. A song began playing in my head. The same one that I had just played. I reached out for it. I clawed my way toward it.
Come now, mi’lady, that is nothing but nonsense. I do not believe this thing will return to life anytime soon. The light had now grown brighter than ever. The tune suddenly stopped.
You never know, Kain. Destiny has her way with us all. If I play the Melody, I’m certain he will come. The melody began again and I resumed my pursuit of it, idly contemplating the conversation I was hearing.
The Mystic Hero? What a cheesy title. I laughed internally at the impropriety of that particular thought. Soon the voices were getting louder and louder. I felt an intense amount of heat that seemed to come from inside of me. I felt something solid underneath me for the first time since I played that flute. It was incredibly cold compared to the amount of heat I was most likely producing.
“Oh, Great Sage! He seems to be glowing!” I heard it this time. It was female and quite pleasant. Still, I couldn’t get my mind around the thought that it still sounded blue.
“What sorcery is this? Mi’lady, get back!” This voice was much older and definitely male. It was far from unpleasant, however. It was a dull brown. But laced with concern for whoever he was with. I’m not sure how, but I could sense that he was not afraid, rather than wary of whatever was happening. She, however had no trace of worry, only excitement and curiosity. There was also a third presence that I had not noticed before. Whoever it was, it was pretty much apathetic. It was moving closer, though.
“No sorcery, Kain. However, this is very old magic. Sara, play that song some more, I think it’s acting as some sort of catalyst to this phenomenon.” Also a female. But this one was much stronger in her voice. Obviously used to orations and formal speaking. She had quite the American accent compared to the other two who seemed to speak as if they were in some sort of fantasy novel. Her voice was green. The tune began again. At first it was just a dull tune that I had grown to hate. But this time I heard it much clearer. It was a soft melody and it gave a wondrous atmosphere. It was being played so expertly that it put my version to shame forty times over. I began to feel better. The aching had stopped and the heat was dying down. I could smell the distinct presence of water all around me. Perhaps it was raining outside.
“He awakens.” The unknown female said
“I knew we would see him wake! Kain! Isn’t this a wonderful thing?” Sara, as I remember her name, came closer. I could sense her presence quite clearly.
“Lady Sara, please get back!” Kain was still wary but not as much as he had been. “Lady Rachael, please stop her!”
“Sorry, Sara, but if you don’t mind.” Rachael was now right next to me. I heard her whisper, “Terri, I know you are in there, it’s time to get up and face a few changes.” I tried to open my eyes but I couldn’t. I still could not speak.
Who are you and how do you know me I thought fervidly, where the hell am I?
She continued whispering as if she had heard me. “I am Rachael Anderson. You are no longer in your time, or dimension for that matter. It’s hard to explain but you are also not in the same body that you were in for the passed 17 years.”
What are you talking about? What happened?
“You played the song on the flute simultaneously with Lady Sara. This provided a bridge across time to allow you to return here” She said quite bluntly.
Return? Have I been here before?
“Not that you would remember. Get up. But beware, you are not exactly human anymore” Her words puzzled me. How could I be anything other than human? I slowly opened an eye. What greeted me was a woman who looked around 19 years old. She wore what looked like a tool belt. Her shirt seemed normal enough, but she had on a strange head set. Compared to the other two she looked completely out of place. Lady Sara wore a beautiful gown and a circlet in her long red hair. Her ears look almost pointed. Kain was a large man. He wore what looked like half plate chain mail and had a great sword drawn. Is this the Renaissance Fair or something? I thought. I looked back at Rachael. I still couldn’t move. Speaking would probably be out of the question, too. Although she seemed to understand well enough when I was simply thinking at her.
How do you know so much about me and why do you look like someone from a video game?
“Video Game? Hah. I haven’t heard of such technology in years. The truth is that I’m also not from this time. I became trapped he after an accident in my lab, but that’s not the point. Here I have access to all sorts of magical recourses. Combined with my genius I was able to create a time portal that allowed me to see who you are after the incident, but I’m just rambling now. Hurry up we need to get you associated with your new form. And I know it’s hard, but start talking normally, telepathy hurts my head.” I lifted my head with some trouble and looked at her. I did feel strange, as if I could move more freely than I ever imagined. I looked at her intently and I could sense that she was being completely honest with me. I took a breath to say something when Sara ran up to me. She had a certain gleam to her eyes and I sensed a strong feeling of hope. She bowed.
“Sir Tekrion! I am most pleased to be able to meet you!” Sara got up and looked at me with an expectant smile. I didn’t know what to do or say. What does she want from me? I thought.
“Uh...” My voice felt different. It sounded a lot deeper than usual. I felt strange, I sounded strange, nothing was normal and I knew it. Rachael, thankfully, stepped in.
“My apologies, Miss Sara, but I’m afraid that after the incident, Tekrion has no memory of anything from the past 80 years.” Sara’s hopeful smile dwindled in to slight disappointment. But only for a moment. Her resolve soon returned.
“I see. Well, then, we’ll just have to reeducate him! Rachael, Kain and I will set up camp. Please see to Sir Tekrion’s needs?” Sara commanded. She’s obviously someone important…
“Yes, Mi’lady. Come on, Terri get up. I’m sure you’ll be amazed at what you’ve become.” Rachael said with spirit in her voice. I felt a slight boost in energy.
“What I’ve become…?” I questioned. I was barely aware of my surroundings, let alone of myself. True, I did feel different. But I still did not understand what she was telling me.
“What, haven’t you noticed? You may remember the past 17 years as a human, though technically, that won’t happen for almost another millennium, but you are not such now. Nor were you such before you were reborn. Look at yourself and see.” She pointed behind me. Hesitantly, I turned my head. Behind me there was a giant mirror that showed me more than I wanted to see. In the mirror, I saw Rachael and outside, I could barely see Sara and Kain setting up a tent. However, I did not see myself as I had remembered. I did not see the 17 year old boy with raven black hair and an unimpressed expression, instead I saw something that I had never thought I’d ever see in my life. A dragon.
Unbelievingly, I moved my hand…er, claw, and sure enough it moved as well. It was completely strange, and yet it was too familiar to be wrong. I was deeply confused, but something told me that I was where I belonged. After a long period of silent thought, I finally spoke.
“Who am I? Really?” I turned to a smirking Rachael.
“Why, you are Terri Noggert, well, you used to be. But that was only a temporary mistake.” She said, “In reality you, or rather, your sentient essence, otherwise known as your soul, was trapped in your time almost 80 years ago."
“What you’re telling me is, that my existence is a mistake?!” I demanded.
“No, of course not. Have you ever felt like you belonged in that world of yours? Have you ever felt part of the family, at all?” I said nothing. “Let me tell you the story of Tekrion, the Mystic Hero.” She cleared her throat and started again.
“Tekrion is the name of the dragon you now are. Whether or not you choose to go by that name Is up to you. But this story begins 100 years ago. 53 years after Tekrion hatched. He was a very mischievous dragon and never seemed to like to follow orders. Personally, I wasn’t around just yet, but I hear he was something of a troublemaker.
However, to the north, a dark wizard named Keir Malus was trying to rally the humans against the dragons. He claimed that the dragons were a plague to the world. Beings with not morals and no souls. Beasts without heart. He set a massive war against dragon-kind and used his own magic to target dragons. Soon all dragons went into hiding. They were hunted down constantly and killed without remorse. They had to resort to stealing livestock for nourishment. Tekrion’s particular tribe made pact with the elves and the two races attacked the Holy Tower from which Malus ruled his armies. Malus’s dark magic was also plaguing the humans as well. They realized that what they were doing was wrong and turned on Malus. In the end the elves won the tower, but many dragons lost their lives. 2 dragons and the Elven King, Aeli Grandeu, stormed the Holy Tower. The two dragons were Tekrion and his Father, Kerrion.
The 3 of them backed Malus into a corner, and like most beast, he attacked. He launched a powerful spell that instantly killed Kerrion and would have also killed Aeli if Tekrion had not attacked. Tekrion’s attack severely hurt Malus. With his last amount of energy, he suspended Takrion’s spirit in time, but could not fend himself against Aeli. He was sealed inside of a crystal ball. And the Dragons won the war. Kerrion, was given a hero’s burial by the humans and elves. Tekrion was given a shrine to await the return of his lost soul. There was a flute found in the Holy Tower that became an heirloom to the Grandeu line. This flute was prophesized to lead Tekrion’s soul back to his sleeping body. And here you are now. Returned, but with no memory of your past or any idea of your future. I apologize for having us force you to return, but it was a necessity.”
“So I am a hero?”
“Yes.”
“And a dragon?”
“Yes.”
“…’Kay. What do I do now?” She stared a moment. She then laughed heartily. I only cocked my head in confusion. I didn’t understand what she found so humorous. It seemed straightforward to me. 80 years ago, I was a dragon and I ultimately saved the world. I did that a lot, but only in videogames. I guess I just didn’t really believe this was happening to me, “What’s so funny?”
“…You’re taking this pretty much in stride. You were only moments ago ripped from the comfort of you human life and sent back to face a world that you have no memory of and yet you have nothing to say but ‘okay’?” She seemed almost amazed. I probably would have been too, if I saw it.
“Do I have any choice in the matter? If I can’t change it, then why try? Don’t get me wrong. This really is a lot to take in, but I just don’t feel as if I should panic. It feels almost wrong to panic. You said that it was necessary for me to come back, but why?” I felt a chill as the wind blew in. I was almost tempted to pinch myself to make sure I wasn’t dreaming but the pain I experienced moments before had already confirmed that I was, indeed awake, and, according to Rachael, for the first time in eighty years.
“That’s where the bad news comes in.,” she said. Heh, as if any of this was good news. I thought. “Sara is Aeli’s granddaughter. She’s a half elf and is solely responsible for delivering a tribute package to the dwarves of the west to seal the peace treaty. However. Half elves have been disappearing a lot lately and the elves believe that Malus has escaped. I’m afraid Kain and I won’t be much protection against him. If he creates unrest between the races then it’ll be much easier for him to regain his army. We think he’s trying to start another Dragon War. We weren’t going to bring you back this early, but from what I’ve seen of you lately, you’re combating needs work. We need to reawaken the Tekrion within you. Terri, you may not realize this, yet, but you will need to stop thinking of this as just some video game. If you die here, there is no reset button. Are you actually willing to put your life on the line for this world?” I was taken aback from her statement, but overall, I still held firm to my philosophy. Don’t fix what isn’t broken. Don’t change what can’t be changed. I nodded.
After a moment she relaxed. “Okay, then. Let’s meet the dignitaries!”

Updates
There! Chapter 1 rewritten from 2 pages to at least 4. I think this'll be an okay story after all...
Very good writing for a 11-year-old, to say the least, and better than many of the shit I've seen other people crap out before.
First person point of view isn't my favorite because it seems to limit the story a tad too much.
I don't know what else to say..hmm..keep up the work! XD
