Title: Glorious (-Poem-)

This is the first actual poem I've written in a while! Been preoccupied with songwriting, music, web design, and my general life I have attained.

Anyway, I just thought it was necessary almost - so tell me what you think and give me your crits, thanks!

Glorious
By Garrett Luttrell

A glimpse of a fading dawn,
As the obsession dwindles,
And a new inspiration comes.

It shone in the glorious brilliance of heaven's light but a moment,
And disappeared without a trace,
Leaving only the spectacular memory.

She calls to him from afar,
Beckoning like a master,
Attempting to hold reign over a star.

Burning the threads instantaneously,
He breaks free of heaven's grasp,
And the glow begins to dim.

Its evanescene lingers in the thoughts and dreams of a child,
A boy destined to reconnect the strands,
Even with chances so slim.

Beneath an empty night sky,
Reaching out for the memory,
Stretching forward to just snap back.

She tempts him with a seductive gleam,
A fake sheen of glory,
And he's left to decide.

A dark day lies up ahead,
As he stands in the stream.
This was what he was born for,
This is what she hid from him.
His glorious destiny,
Can finally come to be.

I like it very much and am very glad to see you posting poetry again. Excellent use of imagery.
