Just bored one day and came up with an interesting line. Then expanded on it.
It's a Race
by Saber
It is a race, simply enough,
That we humans indulge.
A race to see who has the stuff.
For what, I can't divulge
But it is a race, nonetheless;
Its finish in the sky.
What first prize is, I can't express.
What matters is, we try.
What's a meter, measured in time?
A day, a month, or year?
Don't matter who crosses that line.
It's the run I fear.
So, am I able to complete
This hundred-meter dash?
We are all here to compete,
Yet, it's done in a flash.
Just one mistake, and I could trip.
It happens all the time.
So, will I make it, or just slip
So close, the starting line?
Will I win? No, I shouldn't ask
Shut up, and set my pace.
Finishing is my only task,
Because, it's just a race.

if you don't get it. It's about Life XD
Don't you just love it when your work is appreciated instead of buried under more popular topics? XD
I actually did read this earlier, but wanted to wait for someone else to comment.
My only real criticism is that maybe it's a bit too obvious. It appears well written and does keep the reader's attention, but there's nothing especially groundbreaking here.
I would like to see more Saber poetry. :D
I've never been one for subtlety, nor for poems. :)
I prefer to write stories, though I need more time and effort to do so...
