Title: Is Censorship Working Against Itself And Why?
Description: Is Censorship doing all over? Why?

Here's something I stumbled upon a few minutes ago while drinking. Here goes.

Censorship is used to block inappropriate images from public view. It's often used to "protect" younger members of society and help them grow to be acceptable individuals. Is it really doing what it's supposed to be doing? In comparison of two countries, The United States of America and Japan, it would seem as if the whole principle is contradicting.

The United States is undoubtedly a violent country. Although Michael Moore, the fat fucking shitbag completely exaggerated the statistics, the true statistics are still noteworthy. The censorship authorities in the United States have primarily focused on TV violence. However, despite the censorship seen on daily television (mostly movie channels such as USA), the violence persists. In Japan, however, where every time you turn on the TV you can't help but see violent acts being commited, there is much less violent crime.

In Japan the nudity censorship laws are extremely strict. I've heard of people going to jail for not using proper censorship in graphic novels. However, if you know anything about Japan, you know it's an extremely perverted country. For pedophilia, rape and sex-related crimes, Japan is second to none. Hell, if you look hard enough you can even find vending machines in Japan that sell used panties. However, in America, where pornography has no limit to how extreme it can be without censorship, there are far fewer sex-related crimes.

I just thought the comparison was interesting. What do you think of it? Please express your views and opinions.

Anyway - to the reel thing...

I dont think, alot of things have to be censored - Just some lil kids mum is a fat hippie that dont want her kid to even know what the "F" word means or what boobs are :P

i mean seriouslly. What - Its not like the kids arnt ever going to go hunting? or shooting guns or something - I'm sure in America and Canada, Everyone does it right? - hunt a deer or rabits or someshit - I dunno - i dont live there :P

But yeah, hehe - not like noone has ever see freddy cougar or something?

And porn sites - Well lets just say - Adam and eve. They were naked - but once they ate the apple - OMG YOUR NAKED - ITS BAD! - I CAN SEE THE NAUGHTY!

I mean - comon wake up - Whats so bad about seeing a nude chick? - its for educational purposes :D

You learn :D

Lol - I dont think peaople should be strict against stuff like that - I mean - yeah sure - there is a boarder line - but some things that are censored are just plain bull shit - like swearing - Whats that - a word - get over it allready :P -

Meh - just my opinion - i mean - there should be a boarder line for alot of things - violence is probably what i think as the main thing - i would expect a 5-8 year old to handle seeing Bambi getting shot. or any 007 films.

Nightmare on Elm street would be intense for that age - i think you would have to be at least 9 + to watch that.

And anything else - i think 13 + is the age and i think that on a boarderline. - I mean - some things are just - INTENSE!

Damn i'm tired....

Bambi the deer :P lol

Bambi noooooo...

I think that some things should be censored like bbglas007 said. I also think that violence should be cut down on because alot of kids WILL do what they read/ saw about. I heard about two kids who beat up this four year old lad and tied him to a railway. They were about 7 i think ;) anyway, they had no clue what they had done really, they did it because they saw it on tv... the things that come up in re hahaha!

Either way, kids shouldn't learn to slaughter other kids. That'l be bad. And yeah, mostly people swear all the time. Non-stop. Every day. Oh well. They don't give a crap, eh? ;x

yep thats true - I am mainly against the violence thing - some kids can handdle it without going insane throught there life - others cant - and thats how that railway thing happened-

Lemme tell ya about that...

These two kids about ten years ols - snatched a 4-5 year old kids from kmart of someshit in the UK and tied him to a railway line. and BAM - Bye bye kidie - The cops caught them and put them in juvie. Then now its like 8 years gone by - there adults and EVERY ONE IN THE UNITED KINDOM HATES THEIR GUTS!

Sooooo.................

They gave them fake ass names. AND THEY WANTED TO RELEISE THEM HERE IN AUSTRALIA! - When i heard that, I was like...

&*(K THAT SH!7! - seriouslly - They didnt though - but people didnt recognise them... until... two years went by and the MOTHER OF THAT KID RECOGNISED THEM!

AND SHE, froze up with hatred and anger - she could not move - so people found out who they were and now they gave them a new set of fake names.

meh.

But anyway - movies like, Saw or texas chainsaw. they should be restricted to atleast 14+

(Although i saw them both - Hehehe - I'm evil :P Wink Wink* Nudge Nudge* ;) )

meh - ther'e the type of films that with mess you up.

But anyways. Everthing else i reckon is fine.

I would never imagined that these kids would do such horrible stuff to younger children like that. It just kills me by these. God damn. Fuck those god damn flockers.

Giraffe - February 5, 2005 10:43 PM (GMT)
Thats what im saying, the kids arent to blame. Unless they are born evil? oh thats another debate topic... are people born evil hmmm?

Oops sorry, off topic. When you are young you dont really understand about death. I wonder how those two boys are feeling now that they understand what they did?

(I know that they would have known theyd have killed him but not the effect it had on people)

Yeah, I was kind of wondering that too. I mean, why are kids/children/teens or any kind of age group are doing and acting like this? Have we got different brains to transmit 'bad' information to it and causes havoc to the person that is doing it? You'll never know. It's a mystery.

SergeIM, it's not a story. I'm discussing my views at hand from this thread. Either you explain it or don't post at all. Oh, and try not to go off-topic as well. Thank you!
