i had no idea that the show wouldnt come back till october. :( thats such a long time good lord. Well hopefully it just gives the writiers more time to figure out a way to get Dean out of hell. sniff that still makes sad.

I have no idea what's set for season, but if Dean's brought back from hell or whever (i'm not really sure, since I haven't seen it :lol:), Sammy will definitely need to be there for him. I'm sure the journey into hell won't have been rainbows and butterflies for Dean.

Supernatural Signed to 5 seasons plus spin off and possible movie?


Catching up on news- Eric Kripke signed a deal at the end of June with Warner Brothers guaranteeing a 5th season of Supernatural to wrap up the series. Kripke has always said the series in his mind would cover 5 seasons. The exciting news is that the deal is open for sequels and spin offs! This may be part of what Jared Padalecki was alluding to on his recent trip to Australia. See the video below for more from Jared.


"Supernatural" exec producer Eric Kripke is scaring up an overall deal at Warner Bros. TV.

Under terms of the two-year exclusive pact, Kripke will continue to exec produce and showrun CW's Thursday staple "Supernatural," which enters its fourth season this fall.

Kripke also will start to develop projects under the deal. There's no word if one of the new titles might be a "Supernatural" spinoff; Kripke has said in the past that he's interested in doing a prequel of sorts that takes place in the Old West and centered on the show's mythology.

Kripke's at work crafting the show's fourth season, following up on the season three cliffhanger that sent Dean (Jensen Ackles) to hell.

Beyond creating "Supernatural," Kripke's credits include adapting "Tarzan" for the WB, as well as the feature "The Boogeyman."

Before making a splash in TV, Kripke was known for his short films, which included Sundance entry "Battle of the Sexes," as well as "Truly Committed," which won the audience award at Slamdance.

My 2cents: the best part is it's signed to the WB NOT the CW!!...that means that in no way can the CW touch SPN!!!!

I think that a movie/spin-off could be an interesting direction to take things. Rather than wearing out the tv series aspect of it, I think it could be quite good for them to explore. They have enough fans to be successful with it, I think so anyway.

So long as Jared/Jensen are involved, i'm a happy bunny :lol:.

Haha! I would so go and see that (providing both jensen and jared were in it) and a spin-off? Somehow I can see that involving a minor character like Bobby hehe! I don't think that would last lol

Dude im all for a spn movie can you imagine seeing the boys on the big screen kicking ass? I love it! I say if the X flies can do a movie as well as sex in the city we should so be able to get our movie, with our boys.

Im also glad that we are guarenteed a couple more seasons of the show because its good to know that spn isnt on the chopping block. I also think its good that erik signed with the wb because maybe it will help revamp the wb and possibly bring it back.

Ah the new season started..and loooooooved it.

I love that Ruby is back, I loved her character last season..and she kind of took that place of JO. I was a huge JO fan. I just hate that they changed her person... though It makes sense for them to do that.

Hmmm... anyone else loved the season prem?
I thought that Sam would be more hard core? More... eeiry? And well I guess he was when he went after the demons himself....And we know he's keeping that secret from Dean about using his powers to take down demons... but I thought he'd be less puppy and more pit bull?
