SEASON 5 SPOILERS

B) 7/14 - Plot Summary A newly married man comes to Wisteria Lane to buy a house. He offers money to an old man if he and his wife can move in asap. One of the new couple is composed of Charles, a busy business man, and his wife Lila. They have a young daughter named Julia. Charles is away on a business trip and his way back home is delayed by snow. Two moms gossip about how Gabrielle can't say no to her kids and the fact that Juanita is eating a lot. The latter overhears the conversation and confronts the two moms. Bree is at a photoshoot for the cover of her first cookbook. She and the photographer don't agree on her facial expression when taking a pie out of the oven. The crew of "What's Cookin' Fairview?" drops by her house for an interview. During the interview, she introduces her staff, which includes Katherine. Mike drops MJ at Susan's house. Source: SpoilerFix

B) 7/14 - Casting Side Summary Bree does a radio interview to promote her cookbook, "Mrs. Van De Kamp's Old-Fashioned Cooking." She agrees with the host that it's her tribute to Rex, then jokes that her cooking didn't kill him. Carlos is a masseur working from home, but not if Gaby has her way. She wants him to work at the country club, and while they argue, Carlos' elderly male client walks in, naked. Gaby mentions that they just spent the last of Ellie's money--they went through $118,000 in five years with two kids? Did Gaby wear the same clothes for three years or something? Gaby talks with an unnamed socialite at the country club. There's no clear plot that I could see, but it sounds like Gaby's trying to manipulate her? Get back "on the scene" again? Try to get Carlos the job behind his back, so to speak? The socialite invites Gablos to a Labor Day charity auction, and Gaby says they'll have to decline another couple's invitation to their regatta. I'm sure it'll make more sense in context. 7/10- James Denton has revealed that he will return for the next season of Desperate Housewives. The actor confirmed to People that his character Mike Delfino has parted from Wisteria Lane wife Susan (Teri Hatcher): "Mike and Susan have definitely split up." The 45-year-old also admitted that Housewives creator Marc Cherry had been reluctant to tell him how his character would feature in season five. "I'm not sure exactly in what capacity [I'll be back]," he said. "Marc Cherry is being a little cagey. It's going to be interesting to see what happens. But I will certainly be on the show. It's a relief to me, trust me." Source: Digital Spy

7/7 - Bob & Lee Wisteria Lane's resident gays, Bob and Lee, will be back for year five and we'll soon learn a lot more about the good-looking couple. Seems Bob has got some serious issues -- like, seek professional help sort of issues -- and it will all come out this season. Source: Zap2it.com

7/7 - Latest from Kristin: Nelli in Dallas: I want to know where Mike is on Desperate Housewives! Please tell me he isn't gone for good? He's not gone for good! He's in the season premiere and looks to be sticking around. I'm told Mike and Susan have joint custody of their son M.J. and that they seem to see each other quite frequently. Source: E!Online

7/7 - Season 5 Updated Spoilers A newly married man (played by new series regular Neal McDonough) wants to get a house for Edie, his wife. Specifically, he wants to get her old house on Wisteria Lane. He tells the elderly an living there that he's going to buy him out his lease -- right now! He's not going to take no for an answer, and he's going to count to five to give the man a chance to agree. Edie's new husband takes a call from a doctor who reminds him he's supposed to check in once a week. He tells his doctor he's living close to Boston. The doctor tells another doctor he's worried about the man, who once had an intense fixation on one person. Bree's a guest on a Fairview cooking show. She introduces her staff, which includes Katherine. After Katherine informs the host that she's never known a better cook than Bree, Katherine purposely pretends to have injured her hand so Bree's forced to finish preparing a difficult French dessert on camera. Disaster ensues. Susan has a new man, Ken, played by Gale Harold, who's a recurring guest star. Source: DFDH

7/7 - Neal McDonough is moving to Wisteria Lane. The "Boomtown" alumnus has joined the ABC dramedy as a regular next season. He will play a new white-collar resident who may cross romantic paths with Edie Britt (Nicolette Sheridan). McDonough is the second new addition to the cast of "Desperate Housewives" next season, along with Gale Harold, who will recur as Ken, the mysterious man kissing Susan Meyer (Teri Hatcher) is the final flash-forward scene of this past season. McDonough's TV credits also include series "Medical Investigation" and "Traveler" and mini "Tin Man." He is repped by WMA and Luber Roklin. Source: Hollywood Reporter

7/7 - Episode 5.01 - Episode Info A newly married man wants to get a house for his wife. (I suspect, but cannot confirm, that the man is Neal McDonough's character.) He has the perfect house in mind, and tells the elderly man living there he wants to buy him out of his lease -- right now! He's not going to take no for an answer, and he's going to count to five... The mysterious new man takes a call from a doctor who reminds him he's supposed to check in once a week. He tells his doctor he's living close to Boston. When the doctor ends his call, he tells another doctor he's worried about the man, who once had an intense fixation on one person. Bree's a guest on a Fairview cooking show. She introduces her staff -- which includes Katherine. After Katherine informs the host (and viewers) that she's never known a better cook than Bree, Katherine purposely pretends to have injured her hand so Bree will have to finish preparing a difficult French dessert on camera. Disaster ensues. Source: DH Tripod

7/7 - Various Season 5 Spoilers: The season premiere will begin filming on July 7. Season 5 will have 24 episodes. Cast members known to be returning include Teri Hatcher (Susan); Felicity Huffman (Lynette); Marcia Cross (Bree); Eva Longoria Parker (Gabrielle); Nicollette Sheridan (Edie); Brenda Strong (Mary Alice); Doug Savant (Tom); Ricardo Antonio Chavira (Carlos); Shawn Pyfrom (Andrew); Kyle MacLachlan (Orson); Dana Delany (Katherine); and James Denton (Mike). Bree's well on her way to becoming the next Martha Stewart. Edie returns to Wisteria Lane, having also gone through significant change as well. Susan has a new man, played by Gale Harold. Many people have emailed me wondering about Susan's relationship with her new man, who may or may not be named Ken. I don't know anything about their relationship beyond the fact that they have one. I assume, for simplicity's sake, that their history is less involved than her history with Mike. (That is, she probably didn't date Ken for a few months, dump him because of his mysterious secrets, reunite with him after learning some of his mysterious secrets, decide to move in with him only to take back that decision after learning another secret, get dumped by him just as she expected an engagement, rebound with her exhusband, date a doctor, marry her exhusband, lost the doctor, sleep with her exhusband again, almost get engaged to Ken again, date a British guy, dump the British guy for Ken, lose Ken to Edie, reunite with the British guy, get engaged to the British guy, kiss Ken, dump the British guy, choose to take back the British guy, get dumped by the British guy, and then reunite with and finally marry Ken.) Gone from the show: Julie, Danielle, Dylan, and the actors playing Lynette's kids. They appear to be recasting the role of Juanita, one of Gabrielle's daughters. As far as I know, Gabrielle's other daughter, Celia, will still be played by Danielle Baltodano. Source: Desperate for Desperate Housewives

As revealed in the 4th season finale, next season picks up five years after the events of last season. Expect some flashbacks to show us how the women's lives changed. Thanks to Porter and Preston, the Scavo's restaurant is turned into an illegal casino, with poker, cigar smoking, and alcohol. When Lynette learns about this, she grounds the boys, who want the punishment postponed til after Homecoming. As the good son who's not been grounded, Parker has to take sister Penny to soccer practice. Source: Desperate Housewives Tripod

6/18 - Latest from Kristin: Chev in San Jose, Calif.: So, besides the main women on the show, who else will be back for season five of Desperate Housewives? Husbands? Kids? Neighbors? Who? They're currently casting for Parker Scavo at age 14! Apparently Parker has "grown into a nice, smart kid who is somewhat of a techno geek." They're also looking to cast a 9-year-old, blond, blue-eyed Penny Scavo. Penny and Parker will both be series regulars, and Susan and Mike's son Maynard "M.J." Delfino will be a recurring character. And of course, the Scavos' twins will also be on board (they started casting for them last week). So lots of teens and tweens and young'uns who'll be part of the new cast as Wisteria Lane jumps five years into the future. Source: E!Online

6/18 - Island Girl Scores Role On 'Desperate Housewives': HONOLULU -- A Hawaii girl has landed a recurring role in one of ABC's biggest TV shows. She is playing the daughter of one of the "Desperate Housewives." Kaili Say, 6, made her debut in the season finale as the daughter of Eva Longria's character, Gabrielle Solis. The Wahiawa girl and her sister, Brandi, 10, spent the last few months in Los Angeles doing some acting work and print ads. "We were about to move to Hawaii, but my agent called, and she said, 'you got the job on 'Desperate Housewives,'" Kaili Say said. The two sisters love acting and were spotted, first by a talent agency in Hawaii, and then were picked up by an agency in LA. Big sister Brandi Say is happy for Kaili's gig. The whole experience has been a shock for their mom who did not know what role Kaili was going to play until she asked a crewmember on the day of filming. "'Is Kaili going to be Eva's daughter?' And he said, 'Yeah, Kaili's Eva Longoria's daughter.' Then we walked in the trailer, and she's like 'Hi, I'm Eva,' and I was like, 'Hi, I'm Darcy.' It was shocking that split second," Kaili's mother, Darci Say, said. Instead of coming home, the family is returning to LA later this month when "Desperate Housewives" resumes production. "This is what (the girls) want to do, and as long as my husband and I can help them, then we will," Darci Say said. Source: KITV

5/28 - Ausiello Spoilers: Question: Nicollette Sheridan's absence was noticeable on the season finale of Desperate Housewives. I heard that Marc Cherry said that Edie would be gone for awhile, but he could see her coming back in a "few years." Since the show fast-forwarded five years, was that his coy way of saying she'll be back in the fall? — Candy Ausiello: Congratulations Candy — you just answered your very own question! I believe that's only the second time that's happened in AA history. Let's have a round of applause for Candy! Question: Hope you are enjoyed your vacation! In honor of your return, here's a crapload of questions. Is Desperate Housewives casting for Lynette's now-teen terrors? Is Brothers & Sisters casting the role of long-lost Walker, Ryan? Are any Girlfriends characters going to show up on The Game to wrap up their storylines? What's dream Emmy nominee Amy Pietz doing now that Aliens in America is done? — Dennis Ausiello: Normally, I'd enforce the "Only one question per Aushole" rule, but considering I left you guys high and dry last week, I'll make an exception just this once. Your answers are as follows: Yes, yes, perhaps, and testing for pilots. Source: Ask Ausiello

5/19 - Marcia Cross drops a few hints about Bree's future: WASHINGTON - It's true: "Desperate Housewives" will flash-forward five years. Marcia Cross, who plays domestic goddess Bree on the ABC comedy-drama, told AP Radio in a recent phone interview that a flash-forward narrative device will offer viewers a glimpse into the future lives of the Wisteria Lane gang. Spoiler alert: Read no further if you don't want to know what happens to some of the central characters. Cross said her character makes "a big leap." "She's gone out into the world and she's become a bit of a success," the 46-year-old actress said. When asked if that success has anything to do with the catering business Bree started with her neighbor Katherine (Dana Delany), Cross replied, "It does have to do with the business. Bree definitely has made a name for herself." And Bree — the embodiment of preppy style — will change her look. "Let's put it this way, the (hair) flip has died and I'm so happy about that," Cross said. She also revealed that Eva Longoria Parker's character, Gabrielle, "has had some children." When asked what becomes of the troublesome Kayla (Rachel Fox), who is Tom's (Doug Savant) daughter, Cross said, "She hightails it out of town or is hightailed out of town." The season finale of "Desperate Housewives" airs Sunday. Source: Yahoo News

5/14 - Next season finds everything moving forward FIVE years. Nothing on Wisteria Lane will ever be quite the same again! A number of characters will have to be either recast or written out. Five years in the future, Mrs. McCluskey is hard of hearing. Bree's career takes off, as she becomes the next Martha Stewart. Susan's married to a man who isn't Mike. Gabrielle has two girls who she fears may become chubby. Carlos is still blind.Nicollette Sheridan is definitely returning as Edie, but like everyone else, she'll have gone through some huge changes since leaving. The show has been picked up for next season. There will be 24 episodes! Is Edie Gone from Desperate Housewives? When asked if Nicolette Sheridan will return, McPherson (chef von ABC) initially gives a firm "Yes." When pressed for clarification, given that Marc Cherry was just quoted as saying that's the last we're gonna see of her for years, McPherson just smiles and says "Maybe." Source: E Online
