Ok so I know that most Twilight readers are Jacob fans, but my heart broke for him in this book. And it made me hate Bella just a little. She's a Lucas. :lol: I'm glad that we got to know Jacob better because he totally stole my heart. :D And it broke with him in the epilogue. My poor Jake. :P
Jacob is cool, but I'm more of an Edward girl (as I've pointed out several times everywhere now, lmao). I can see why people would hate Bella for what she did, and I have to agree, Bella was a little annoying at times. But she can't get the blame for everything that happened. She did not conceal in any way that she was in love with Edward. She was very open about it the entire time. When she did acknowledge her feelings for Jacob, she also said that it wasn't enough, it wasn't as strong as her feelings for Edward, and Jacob knew that. She might have led him on by the kiss before the big fight, but it wasn't a kiss originally initiated by her anyway. She did see them together, the life she could've had, but to her, it wasn't enough.
I've also thought of Bella as a Lucas, but she's really not him, when you think about it. She hasn't been with both guys, just the one, and she's always been true to what her feelings about Edward are. I don't think she's led Jacob on at all. It's never a good thing when someone gets their heart broken, and I felt sorry for Jacob too. Getting their heart broken is something I wouldn't wish on anyone.
There's so much Bella hate in this fandom, that I feel just a tiny bit overprotective of her, lmao. It's so easy to hate on her without looking at the big picture, if you know what I mean. The stupidest things I see is that Bella's selfish, and only thinks about herself. I'm just like "Did we read the same book?!" I can, however, agree with that she's whiny and annoying at times. She doesn't have to be so opposed to marriage, or so opposed to getting stuff from Edward. But it's a part of her character. And try writing something in first person, by yourself. Everyone would sound whiny then! Lmao.
