QUOTE
Today I come fresh from BBC Two's Autumn launch, where us journo types were treated to a world exclusive, never-seen-before, you-will-be-castrated-if-you-secretly-record-this-and-upload-it-to-youtube preview of Heroes season three. As I value my intimate regions quite highly, I'm afraid that what follows is the best I can do. A warning: spoiler-phobes should look away now.

# Nathan Petrelli is apparently dead. We see him rushed to hospital, where resuscitation attempts fail. "There was nothing we could do," a doctor tells the family. I don't believe it.

# Looks like Elle (Kristen Bell) is going to be spending a bit of time sparring with Sylar this season.

# Angela Petrelli introduces us to "Level 5", a housing place for the most dangerous criminals in the world - rapists, arsonists, killers. Presumably this is where the band of Villains escape from.

# Matt Parkman is alone in the middle of a desert screaming for help.

# New Villain 'The Speedster' steals something from Hiro and quips, "Gotta run."

# Is Sylar in league with Angela Petrelli? In one short clip he is seen approaching her from behind and placing his hands on her shoulders.

# Linderman is back with a prophecy of doom. "The second coming is at hand," he warns.

# And, perhaps the most shocking tease of all: a big bald man, incarcerated in Level 5, shouts: "I'm not who you think I am. I'm Peter Petrelli..."

The third season of Heroes will play out on BBC Two and BBC Three (and BBC HD) from the end of September, with a delay of just eight days on the original US broadcast. The season will comprise two "volumes", each containing 13 and 12 episodes respectively.

7/10 - Latest from Kristin Tom in Orlando: I thought Linderman was dead on Heroes, but then I heard Malcolm McDowell say he's returning. WTF? Let's just say our beloved Nathan Petrelli has a brush with death (you saw that last season) and when he comes back...Wait, what was I saying again? For some reason I just started thinking about that movie with Bruce Willis where the kid sees dead people. What was that called again? That was an awesome movie. Hmmm, I wonder why my mind just went there. Old age is a bitch. Anyway, in other news, Ali Larter is coming back as a totally different person (i.e. doppelgänger), meaning someone who is not Niki or Jessica or Gina (my head is hurting), and with a whole new power. And Claire's bio-madre Jessalyn Gilsig is also returning. Mike in Anchorage, Alaska: Quick, give us something good on Heroes! How about some dirt on my favorite, Suresh? Oh, twist my arm and force me to talk about one of TV's hottest men. Mohinder Suresh has a lot coming up this season, including a love connection with a female Hero we already know (together, they are hot as fire). And let's just say that if you had a sneaking suspicion Suresh might have some kind of superability, you would not be wrong at one point this season. There is more to him than meets the eye, but he ultimately may need to "scale back." (Note the quotes and try to figure out what the bejeezus I'm talking about in the Comments below.) 7/7 - Q&A Reveals Spoilers for Season 3 and Missing Moments from Season 2 The fellas over at CBR usually have a weekly Q&A session called "Behind the Eclipse" with Heroes writers/producers Joe Pokaski and Aron Coleite while the season airs, but they were lucky enough to sit down with them this week.

QUOTE
- Episode 3x01 will start but moments before Nathan is shot, but we will be four years in the future.

- Isaac's Sketchbook will appear again this season. Pay attention to episodes 9-11.

- We will meet another artist that has a similar style as Isaac with a "familiar subject".

- Since Adam is immortal and has similar blodd traits as Claire it is possible for her to become immortal as well, but the same rules may not apply to Peter.

- Alternate ending for Season 2 was to have the virus unleashed on Odessa, TX and have the Heores deal with the fallout and the sity being quarantined.

- DVD will most likely have some additional scenes and storyboards of the first few episodes that were going to be part of Volume 3 (Part 2 of Season 2).

- They will try o get us some unreleased pages of Season 2 Episodes 12-14

- In regards to Peter and revisiting his darkside: “With great power comes great responsibility.” “But we also know that “Absolute power corrupts absolutely.” So basically Peter will find himself torn between these two platitudes.

- Bob has files on the Petrelli boys and Matt also and we might see them.

- Claude is alive

- Episode 3x03, a character with Earthquake power needed to be re-written because it would take too long to shoot for a TV show.

- We will see Arthur Petrelli before Episode 3x08 via Flashback

- A flashback for the founders of The Company was scheduled for Episode 2x05 titles "1977" (yes last season) to focus on Angela and Arthur, but because of the strike did not happen and it is now up in the air.

- We will learn more about the Haitian this season

- Claire's mom will return this season.

More Revealed

1) We will see the items from the Company "Vault" during real time and in flashbacks. They also mentioned that the Key will play "pretty huge into season 7 mythology." (Season 7!? Not sure if this is a typo or they are planning for 7 seasons!?)

2) Peter does not read Adam's mind, because he believes in goodness, but also because Adam has had 400 years to possibly learn how to stop someone from reading his mind.

3) In regards to healing people with their blood: Peter's power is to "Mimic" powers, but there are limitations to what his blood can do compared to Claire and Adam. the writers ended the answer with: "On the other hand...."

4) This season we will see more of Elle's relationship with Claire

5) Peter and Elle will "kinda" meet again

6) The second part of Season 2 had a plan for Peter to try and find Caitlin (stuck in the future), but this season he has new problems. (So I am assuming that means we will not see Caitlin anytime soon).

7) A fan asked two questions, first was about learning more about Linderman's wife and the other one was about finding out about Nathan's father and the writers said we will learn about one of the two this season.

8) Several character concepts are developed way in advance and it varies on how it is handled with the actors as far as letting them know the plan. Sometimes it is a surprise and other times they tell them the details so the actor can plan and research how to deal with the power.

9) There are some "high-concept" ideas planned for Episodes 3x10/11 that we thought about last season.

10) "Sylar did not absorb Candice’s power. Or Michelle’. Or Betty’s. He will not get her power back when he reboots"

11) In the first hour of the premiere we will learn more about what Sylar does with the brains.

12) In replying to a question about the Helix symbol and the connection to Adam, the writers said that we should look up Fibonacci and Fractals, which is about patterns repeating themselves in nature.

13) In regards to a question about Arthur Patrelli's potential power to control wind and if he was the one to stop the hurricane and if it is connected to Nathan's ability to fly, the writer answered: "You’re on to something? Or you’re on something?"

14) We will see more of Mohinder renaming powers scientifically and see how accurate he gets.

15) The first 5 episodes of Season 3 will be completed before Comic-con and they will bring clips with them to CC!!

7/7 - Heroes Villan's Logo - HRG explains to Claire about him capturing Villains before she was born and that a "Dozen" have escaped. That they will hunt, terrorize and kill, that they will cause unimaginable destruction to the world. As he explains this to Claire you see quick flashes of the following: - Cell Block 5 (Most likely under Primatech) - See new villain Knox in restraints in cell - Peter holding Nathan shortly after he was shot - Mohinder washing his face and confused
- Claire gets spooked by a rumble - Quick flash of a woman's eye opening (maybe Angela) - Matt looks lost in the middle of the dessert Source: The ODI

7/7 - Heroes Goes Deep In Season 3 Tim Kring, creator and executive producer of NBC's Heroes, told SCI FI Wire that the upcoming third season will take the show and its characters in entirely new directions--including deep into the backstory. "One of the things that this volume is going to do that, I think, is really going to be fun for the audience is that there were very initial sort of primal questions that the show asked," Kring said in an interview at the Saturn Awards in Universal City, Calif., on June 24, where he accepted an award for best television DVD. "Who am I? What's happening to me? How am I connected? Where are these powers coming from? All of those questions get reframed and turned on their head in a very interesting way in this volume." As with the previous two seasons, the third will be divided up into volumes. The first is titled "Villains" and will focus on the nature of good and evil, Kring said. "You're going to see a lot of bad guys in this one," Kring said. "The idea, also, is we're playing off the idea of our characters as heroes or villains. So it's really the duality of good and evil. ... We're playing off of this duality of good and evil. All of our characters were given these powers and possess these powers, and at some point it becomes sort of free will and human nature as to what you're going to do with that. And all of us are given the choice to make decisions that lead us down very dark paths or towards heroic ends. And so, literally, every one of our characters gets faced with that dilemma." Kring also said that the popular villain Sylar (Zachary Quinto) will continue to be an integral part of the show in the third season. Quinto had originally been written out of the last half of the second season due to his shooting schedule on the upcoming Star Trek film. But because of the writers' strike, that part of the story was pushed into the third season, and Sylar was written back in. "Well, we have no plans of saying goodbye to Sylar right now," Kring assured fans. "I mean, that was yet another silver lining for the strike, was Zach Quinto's availability to us in the third volume. I mean, that was a huge thing for us to be able to have him back. As you guys know, he would have disappeared for a large chunk of the second half of season two. And so, for us, it was a big, big deal." Source: SciFi

7/7 - Latest from Kristin Paul in Philadelphia: We needs us some resolution regarding Kristen Bell and season three of Heroes. Will she be a regular or not? I'd say you needs you some grammars, but I know yous just being cutes. (Hee.) According to sources, Kristen Bell will not be a regular this season on Heroes, but she will appear in a recurring fashion, most likely for five more episodes. (Better than nada, no?) The only new regular is Cristine Rose as Mama Petrelli, who has a lot to do this season. Oh! And I just met up with Brea Grant, the new villain Speedster (otherwise known as Landry's dread-headed cutie on Friday Night Lights) and she's all kinds of awesome—and coming to our next Watch With Kristin Show, so stay tuned. Miss Kitty: We've heard rumors about Heroes showing at least one hour of the premiere at San Diego Comic-Con. If the panel is only an hour long, then is that ruling it out? Thanks for any info you can dig up. I'm told there will just be a Heroes sneak peek, not the full premiere. Randall in Santa Fe, N.M.: Jack Coleman is a god. He's back next season on Heroes, right? Of course! And what's totally amazing is that my wish of Zachary Quinto and Jack Coleman sharing loads of screen time is coming true. I'm hearing that Sylar is going to start working with H.R.G. I know. Whaaa? (They might beat out Sayid and Ben as TV's least expected odd couple!) Tessa in Kansas City, Mo.: Kristin, will Ali Larter definitely be back on Heroes this season? Last we saw her she was in an explosion, if I remember correctly. Ali is definitely still a part of Heroes. Niki Sanders, not so much, but Ali will stick around and conjure up a whole new personality we haven't yet seen before for season three: Tracy Strauss. (Something tells me she'll be hot, blond and look like that chick who once wore a whipped-cream bikini for Dawson Leery.) Meanwhile, I'm pretty sure I'm hitting the set tomorrow to interview a few of the castmembers, so if you have Q's for the Heroes cast, I know a secret place you can hide them: tvdiva@eonline.com. (I'm not sure who'll be there, but I know Zach and Milo will be.) Drew in Montana: Give up some goods on Heroes! What's next for my favorite, Matt? He's going to end up in the desert with a horse with no name...and a tortoise. Believe it or not, I'm serious about the desert and the tortoise part. Matt's storyline is about to get über-trippy! Source: E!Online

6/18 - William Katt Joins the Cast for Season 3: (Photo) One of the original TV superheros, during a recent interview WIlliam Katt, who played the Greatest American Heroes, confirmed that he has filmed several scenes with Ali Larter (Niki). Katt says he plays a reporter that will go after Niki. Here is the part of the article with the Heroes information: William Katt, who played the lead role in the '80s television show Greatest American Hero, is the latest classic sci-fi TV actor to make an appearance on the NBC show Heroes. "I just filmed it last week," Katt says of his appearance on Heroes. "I play a really, really wonderful, seedy, smarmy-mouthed reporter that goes after Ali Larter. It was a lot of fun." Although Larter's character, Niki Sanders, was apparently trapped in a house that exploded at the end of last season, not only is she back on the set, but Katt said he worked almost exclusively with her. "She hogged me. She wanted me all to herself," he jokes. The actor, whose role as Ralph Hinkley on Greatest American Hero lasted three years, joins other stars of cult sci-fi classics who have appeared on Heroes, including Joanna Cassidy from Blade Runner and Star Trek actors George Takei and Nichelle Nichols. A fan of Heroes since he first saw the pilot, Katt said he got the job because of a friendship with director Greg Beeman. "He's a wonderful director. He's been on the show for awhile after being up in Canada doing Smallville. Now he directs on Heroes quite a bit," Katt says. "I did a show with him a number of years ago when we worked together on a two-hour movie of the week for NBC called Problem Child 3." Katt compares the comedic Greatest American Hero to the dramatic Heroes. "It's more Hitchcockian. It's a more dark and seedy look at the world of superheroes. It's offering to television viewers what some of the better comic books do," Katt says. "Tim Kring is just an extraordinary writer. And I think there's no end to his creativity. He's kind of mad, in an insane way. And that always makes it interesting. There are a lot of twists yet to come." A guest star on recent episodes of House M.D. and JAG, Katt says his Heroes character was a "really fun role" for him to play, although the character doesn't have powers. "He has the power of persuasion. That's what he has," he said, then added with a laugh," and no red suit. Read More of the Article Here: Newsarama

6/18 - Latest from Kristin: Bridget in Peabody, Mass.: Any Heroes stuff? I am dying to know what happens, and I can't wait until it comes back in the fall! Claire is not the only character on the show who is adopted. And the next adoption twist is perhaps my favorite twist ever on this show. You know how sometimes those silly promo guys say things like "It will change everything?" Well this one actually will. Patrick in Melbourne, Australia: I'm really desperate for some Heroes news. Any news on any characters like Monica and West? Monica will definitely be back, as will "Nana Dawson," aka the legendary Nichelle Nichols. However, in the first few eps, our time with them in New Orleans will be centered around their relationship with Micah. As for West (Nicholas D'Agosto), I couldn't swear to it in a court of law, but I'm fairly sure he's gone, at least for the time being. Source: E!Online

6/10 - Francis Capra to join the cast: OK, now here's a Heroes newcomer I can get behind — if only because it could offer Veronica Mars fans a very special reunion. Francis Capra, aka the toughie 'Ron (and Mars viewers) loved to hate, is joining the NBC hit this season as Jesse. Who or what is Jesse? Not much (including his power) is being revealed, but thus far I've found out two things: One, TV's former Weevil is playing evil, and two, his villainous storyline will find him crossing paths with Peter Petrelli. Capra's arrival of course promises to reunite him with Veronca herself, Kristen Bell, who is rumored to be reprising her own Heroes role this season. Source: TV Guide

6/10 - Latest from Kristin: Shannon in Omaha, Neb.: It's been forever since we've heard new scoop about Heroes. Please oblige! Gee, well, I don't have much to tell, other than the fact that in the first three minutes one of the lead heroes is going to bust a cap off at one of the other lead heroes. And oh yeah, the guy she pulls the trigger on just might be the guy she's playing tonsil hockey with in real life. She also tells him (on cam), "I always loved you." Whaaa?! Figured it out? I know you have, so discuss in the comments below! Oh, and even more shocking? We're gonna see Claire-bear with dark hair and this also involves a shift in time. So very Lostalicious, no? Source: E!Online

5/28 - Season 3 Casting Update - Claire's Mom Returns: Question: How about throwing me a bone about Heroes? — Dee Ausiello: Casting scoop! Sources confirm to me exclusively that Jessalyn Gilsig is reprising her role as Claire's white-trash mom for five episodes next season. Source: TV Guide

5/27 - Season 3 Premiere Date Confirmed for Sept. 22nd: Today NBC announced it's official Fall schedule and confirmed that Heroes will return with a 3-hour event on September 22nd at 8PM. Initial reports had the premiere scheduled for Sept. 15th, so adjust your calendars, because it is now officially planned for Sept. 22nd. NOTE: The first hour will be a recap episode, which will then be followed by the two hour Season 3 premiere. Source: Spoiler TV

5/20 - Latest from Kristin: Yessie in New Orleans: Heroes! Give me something!
Gladly! I will give you a bevy of video interviews with our favorites (Masi, Milo, Zach, Adrian, Sendhil, etc.) this week for a Heroes Week extravaganza, so keep checking back. In the meantime, I can tell you this doozy of a spoiler: Sylar slices open the head of the person you may consider the show's biggest star! That happens within the first two episodes and we also learn exactly what he does once Sy-baby pops the lid on our heroic pals, so let's just say that there is plenty to look forward to early on in season three. They are putting some big plot points and answers in motion, from what I hear. Source: E!Online

5/19 - Cast Speaks Out About Season 3: Villains: Quick Summary: Masi Oka (Hiro)- Would take something significant for Hiro to turn bad. Milo Ventimiglia (Peter) - First few scripts are "incredible", adding villains going to be more "dynamic". Ali Larter (Nikki/Jessica) - Scripts are incredible, will bring together some characters you might not expect. Adrian Pasdar (Nathan) - People who seem to be good are not who they expect, will focus on "darker" side. Zachary Quinto (Sylar) - Lucky because of strike and did not miss any of the filming and says season is off to a "very dark" start with "Villains". Jack Coleman (HRG) - Def. darkness and action. Like HRG good and bad, other characters will be going down the same type of dilemma. Looks "great" and thinks Claire will take a more proactive stance. Source: SpoilerTV

5/12 - Casting News Update: She's not just fast. She's very fast. Meet Daphne, the speedy new character on NBC's Heroes, who plans to give the show's superhumans - especially time traveler Hiro and his sidekick, Ando - a run for their money when she debuts on the popular NBC series' upcoming third season, which went back into production last week. "I'm stealing a secret that's been kept in Hiro's family for a long time that he's just now found," Brea Grant told The Associated Press during a break in filming on location in a high-rise building in downtown Los Angeles. "He stops time right as I grab it, but in that second it took him to grab it, I almost make it out of the office." Grant doesn't know much about her mysterious new character. Daphne's superpower allows her to operate at three speeds and leave a supersonic wake in her path when Hiro stops time. Grant's not sure where Daphne is from, but she does know the Speedster - that's what she calls herself - has been on her own for a long time. "Her character is supposed to be Hiro's Joker," said Masi Oka, who plays Hiro. "Batman has The Joker. Hiro has Daphne. This is the season where Hiro finally finds his arch nemesis, and it happens to be this Speedster. I kind of equate it more to Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner, except Daphne says more than 'meep-meep."' The third season is titled "Villains," and will pick up immediately following the events of the second season, which was cut short because of the writers strike. Viewers will learn about the fates of several characters when the show returns in September, including who shot Nathan Petrelli. Source: AOL

5/8 - Latest from Ausiello: I've got more exclusive Heroes casting news for you guys to dissect during this, the longest hiatus in TV history! Bruce Boxleitner, who played Scarecrow to Sabrina Duncan's Mrs. King in the mid-80s, has snagged a top-secret recurring role that was originally going to be modeled after Sen. John McCain. The character has since been reconceived, and now all I know for sure is that he'll be sharing scenes with a female series regular. By the way, although it may seem like Heroes is getting ready to force-feed us another batch of newbies, an NBC insider insists that's definitely not the case. Yes, the show is introducing some new faces next season, but the primary focus, my source maintains, will remain "on the core characters from the pilot." I think I speak for Heroes fans everywhere when I say, Hallelufreakinlujah. Source: TV Guide

5/5 - Friday Night Star Sprints to Heroes: OK, maybe this week won't be completely doom-and-gloomy after all. Sources confirm to me exclusively that the enchanting Brea Grant — who made quite the impression as Landry's short-lived rebound girl on Friday Night Lights — is joining the cast of Heroes next season as The Speedster. As you'll recall, last month I reported that Heroes was casting the role of Joy, who's "quick on her feet — and adept at getting herself into and out of trouble." Let me be the first to congratulate Tim Kring and his team on a job very well done. Who's going to be the second? Source: TV Guide

5/5 - Tim Kring and Jeph Loeb at Iron Man Premiere talk about S3: 1) S3 Premiere - Sept. 15th
2) Origins Not Going to Happen 3) Season 3 - 25 episodes 4) Heroes Movie - If some one offered of course, but focus is TV 5) New Cast - A Little Bit 6) Villains - Focus on core group 7) They will be at Comic Con.

5/1 - Season 3 Casting Update - More Details on Joy: Sasha in Charleston, Ill.: I'm in desperate need of some Heroes scoop. The wait until new episodes is killing me! Look for a new villain named Joy. Her power is superspeed—she's lightning-fast, like the Flash. Hiro meets her in a museum. He asks her if she has powers and if she is trying to steal some art. She convinces him she's on the up-and-up...and then makes off with a bunch of paintings. She's described as a nymph-like character with the speed of a cheetah on, er, speed. Source: E! Online
