I see there is a company in Carson Ca that says they can import Jewels stainless steel jeep body kits for CJ3B's.
Is this imported legit, has anyone used them for products in the recent past.

I'd heard from folks in the MV circles that MD Juan may once again start producing repro SS tubs, fenders, hoods and grills (for the 2 and 3A's). Wonder if that could be a reality now and also if they're doing one for the 3B?

Here is the link. They advised $6000 for a complete body kit plus shipping.

maybe someone can write them to get some better pictures of the more traditional flatties bodys
there is a 2A (I think) in one of the photo's that looks nice - read their contact info but still dont know where they are ...
I dont care much for the stretched 'custom' body style they have mostly photographed , maybe it would grow on me - initial instinct was I would want it to rust so I could put a 3B tub on it ...
no 3B tub yet but aqualu (link below) might build if there was interest - they make 2a/3a - early/late cj5 tubs etc out of aluminum ... I seen one on a late CJ running around town with no paint ...http://www.aqualu.com/

Yeah, I am shocked to read that updated info after all these years.
I just contacted JEWELS STAINLESS JEEP BODY SALES and got a quick reply.
As one who is somewhat familiar with some Jewels stainless.
It looks about right to me.
Jewels parts always did vary in form as they are often custom fabricated.
I already requested body pics and a price quote.
No body pics were sent . As I say bodies are basically custom ordered.
But the price quoted was very reasonable being $ 6000 for a complete 3B.
However I don't know what the shipping costs. Anyone know ???
Remember also that some Stainless fabrication on your part will likely be required.
From my experience, this mainly concerns the transmission tunnel area.

He quoted me a shipping price of $650-$700 for sea freight to the Port of Seattle.

The date stamp from one of the pictures is from 1996. This may simply be someone trying to restart a import business.
