Dr Cussler is a collector of artwork by the nautical painter, Richard DeRosset. He has also made Dirk Pitt a collector as well. I have recently located a shop keeper that has access to several copies of 1 or 2 versions of his prints. The prices are very reasonable and after receiving them I can attest that his work is superb. I have a card with the Waratah, also signed by DeRosset. Old Papa Jim got it for me when he met DeRosset at the Black Wind signing in San Diego or Los Angeles - forgot which one!
