Nick Kismet is the hero of three novels I have written and hope to publish soon, but this short story will give you all a good idea of what makes him tick, should you be so inclined.
And incidentally, I had nothing to do with the Dirk Pitt mention in the teaser. Then again, if the editor of the 'zine sees it, who am I to argue.

Actually, I should apologize for this one being a little slow. Every story needs some setup, and this is where it happens. I originally submitted this as a four parter and, as you can probably guess, the action was just getting started at the point where this section ends. the cliff hanger at the end of my part one--probably where it breaks next week, is pretty awesome.
