w: As some of you know I'm on vacation and tomorrow I leave for New Orleans. Even though I'm looking forward to this trip I'm going to miss the Forum. While I'm there I'll be meeting one of the wonderful members of this board. I'm sure we'll have some great photo's to post. Sorry I'll miss you this trip, but I'm interested in seeing the pictures. It will be nice to get a different perspective of Houston and New Orleans. By the way we had etoufee and boudan at work today-I highly recommend it. Enjoy!

Guess who??? I'm here in the French Quarter with my sis at an Internet Cafe. Just wanted to let you all know that I'm having a great time. My day with Mel was the best of my vacation. She and George and their children are wonderful. We had a great time. Thanks Tony for making this all possible. You all are wonderful and hopefully more of us will get a chance to get together. I'll be going home soon and I'll put up some pics from my nieces wedding. Can't wait to chat with you all later.

Well I made it. I'm back here in good ole Michigan. It's about 30 degrees and snow on the ground. It was a long trip but I did have fun. I hope to chat with some of you tomorrow but, right now I'm beat.

Well I guess my little joke has gone on long enough now. :lol: The picture I posted saying it was Melanie's house is actually a plantation in Mel's hometown called Southdown plantation. While I was there we took a tour of the plantation and took a few photos there. That is where we found the display on the SS United States. I thought it would be funny to say it was Melanie's home. It was good for a laugh I have to admit. Melanie, George and their lovely children live in a nice, although somewhat more modest home. Sorry Mel if I let the joke go on to long.
