Hey all I'm back!!! Wow it's been a while since I've been able to do anything on the Forum.
Had some computer probs but now I have a new comp..only I still can't get into Chat...opens up blank with a lil white box with a red X in the upper left hand corner...what gives?!

Welcome back, we've missed you.
Sounds like you have a setting wrong, but I'm at a loss to know how to tell you to fix it so you can get into the chat room.

EOI71 had a similar problem-may need to install the program that runs chat room-
it's free and downloadable on internet.The name escapes me at the moment though. That should fix the problem.

The program you need to run the Chat Room is likely Java, which you can download
HERE.
Hopefully that helps! If not, we'll try something else, eh??

Foss Gly thanks for the link..I downloaded it but when I tried to go to chat the loading of the applet failed. So I dunno. But thank you just the same.

What browser are you using, Celeste?
I had problems browsing with AOL and Firefox until I downloaded
Java Runtime so maybe that would cure your problem :unsure:

I find that the chat works best in Internet Explorer, though I've had no trouble with the newest edition of Mozilla Firefox (the best browser, in my opinion).

Welcome back. I use Internet Explore and downloaded Java and the chat came up fine. Maybe it was just a faulty download.

Thanks again one and all!! I actually tried to get into chat again today (Dec 22) and wonder of wonders..IT WORKED!! So I am very much looking forward to chatting with everyone again!!
