Correct me if I'm wrong (though I did re-read Pacific Vortex to check), but NOWHERE in the book do Dirk and Summer 'do the deed'. An immaculate conception???
I believe the closest it gets in shen she knees him in the groin on the beach. Hardly ideal.
PS I have the 1983 edition of PV.

This seems to be the ongoing conversation piece on this forum.Clive recently admitted that he goofed.
Some of us have taken it upon ourselves to write the *missing deed* in the fan fiction section.A little competition between friends ;)
He does pass out in Summers apartment for approximately 45 minutes.....more than enough time to *do the nasty* if Summer takes advantage of him.We may never know.

TA Rob. Intersting theory you guys have. To put a dampener on it though, Summer admits to Pit she's a virgin. So to 'take advantage' of him whatever the immediate attraction would be a leap.
While a slight annoyance at the inaccuracy of Dirk jnr and Summers conception I must admit their enlarged roles in Black Wind have been thoroughly entertaining.
Would I be the only one still grasping with differentiating Dirk Jnr from Dirk snr while reading. Doesn't quite have his own personality yet. Too much like dads after years of seperation???
