Well I'm guessing from the trailer the movie is coming out, but what was the result of Cussler's law suit? Has he been appeased at all with the movie?

We havn't heard anything lately about the pending law suit.

A few months ago at the Washington Book Festival, Clive mentioned in his speech about "Suing the B%$&$&s" but didn't elaborate further.

In my many years of working with a litigation trial lawyer, I've seen many cases go on for years. A big one I worked on lasted 10 years!
