Title: New Sahara Paperback
Mostly Heep - January 3, 2005 03:49 AM (GMT)
I was just out grocery shopping and happened to look at the magazine rack. There was TO at #4 and at # 10 a red and yellow version of Sahara.
This was the first promo bit I have seen for the movie.Very eye catching with Clive Cussler in bright yellow on a red background.
*Soon to be a major motion picture from Paramount Pictures and Bristol Bay Productions*
*Starring Matthew McConaughey,Steve Zahn, and Penelope Cruz*
If this is the start of the ad campaign I can't wait to see the tv spots for the action figures and the actual movie.
Of course I bought it ;)

I've seen it for sale in the local bookstore.Didn't pick it up yet, but probably will nonetheless.

During the Christmas break I was in the Buffalo, NY airport and walked into a bookstore, and just like you said Mostly Heep, there were dozens lined up in a row at #10
OkieMan - January 5, 2005 04:31 PM (GMT)
The Homeland grocery store across the street from me here in Okiehoma has Sahara in the # 6 spot of bestsellers! ...
Mostly Heep - January 16, 2005 02:03 AM (GMT)
Hmmm still at #10 here with TO at #14.If the bookshelf was hidden instead of in plain veiw of customer service I would have switched #10 and #1 around th:
Maybe next time I can get the wife to make a diversion.
Empress - January 16, 2005 02:52 AM (GMT)
Saw it again today and it was sitting at #6. I like your idea Rob, might have to do some switching around myself
OkieMan - January 16, 2005 03:25 AM (GMT)
I'll join the rest of you 'round the world and make the switch here in Okiehoma, too. It'll be dangerous work, but well worth it, if we can switch spots and move the book up a few notches. Synchronize watches ... shhhhh .....
OkieMan - January 25, 2005 08:18 PM (GMT)
In our local Homeland grocery store, earlier today, I switched the copies of Sahara from the # 6 spot to the #1 ...

I just read that this will be available on 21st March 2005 here in England

You actually switched the books from 6 to 1. Finally something for Homeland Security to worry about. It should only take them 6 weeks to find Oklahoma. Seriously the new cover looks great and I will get it as soon as I see it. Thanks Mr. Heep. co:
