If you ever get to the Phillipine Islands, just off the coast near Subic Bay, there is an old japanese Rice Carrier that was sunk during wwII..It is a great, safe dive only about 40 fsw, and the fish are beautiful, the rice is cooking offl Just watch out for the Grouper that lives by the bow. HE IS HUGE :o

That's a serious dive. I have a couple of buddies who have done it. It took several shots at it before they could make the dive - they kept getting blown off by the weather. Too much for me!

I've always wanted to take dive lessons, it seems to be an exciting and definately worthwhile hobby. The problem for me is the initial costs would be prohibitive. I have cousins who are avid divers, and they make me so envious some times. :)

I am bound determined to get parents to let me take SCUBA lessons. I tried it once in a little four foot deep pool for free at the Sun and Fun airshow and loved it. One of these days... That and a pilots license... <_<

Shipwreck diving is my favorite scuba activity. The Mediterranean Sea hides a lot of wreck, mostly ww2 warships and commercial cargos.

One of the most beautiful I visited was the "Haven", a petrol cargo in front of Genoa, north of Italy. It usually takes at least 5 dives to understand how big it is!!!

You can get some info here:

Haven Shipwreck

Ehm... it's an italian site... ok, you can enjoy the photos!!! :P :P :P

Ciao!!!
