What special edition are you talking about??
Vixen - January 11, 2005 01:59 AM (GMT)
If you are talking the one from Poisoned Pen in AZ, triple signed and protective cover, yup. Mine was kidnapped and wrapped in red and green paper, so I got to stare at it for 3 weeks.

What postage option did you choose to the UK, Surface or Air?
reaphy - January 11, 2005 05:02 PM (GMT)
I took the air option to Switerland! the transfer was almost more expensive than the book ;) but now I am a proud owner of this rare triple signed book!!

Got mine, but it did take some time though. I had given a PO Box address and it was shipped FedEx so I had to run around with them to get the right address for redelivery! yike:

I have yet to receive my copy and am getting a bit anxious!
whitbycolin - January 12, 2005 10:27 PM (GMT)
Yeah the book is the one from Poisoned Pen in AZ, triple signed and protective cover! I had an e – mail earlier tonight (UK) which read:
The book appears to still be in transit. It was sent from here on December 1st via the mail service. Unfortunately, for security reasons, we can no longer send packages with a tracking number, so obviously it a cross-your-fingers type thing that the package arrives safely. It usually takes 4 to 5 weeks from here to the UK and with the Christmas holidays slowing everything down, it will probably be a bit longer.
I guess that I will just have to wait (and hope)
Cheers

Can anyone post a pic of this for me? Definately something I'd be interested in. Also, does anyone know the cost offhand or whether it is still possible to obtain one somewhere?

Jamie
It was a one time special offer unfortuantely. You might be able to find one on Ebay.I have seen them on there .You might also try the Poisoned Pen website and VJ Books website they might have one.

Thanks much for the info, I'll try VJ's and keep my eyes open on e-bay! Guess I found this site a few months too late! <_<
edit: is this the same one you are all referring to?... a Norwood edition listed on VJ's here:

Hello All
Just a short note to add to my original query regarding the Clive Cussler / Dirk Cussler's "Black Wind" triple signed copy. It has arrived and I am the very proud owner of such a nice book, something that will be a unique gift to my collection.
I do however have another query though. At the top of the forum the book is listed with two alternative jackets and I wondered if anyone could shed some light on the Red / Black cover as to what version or edition it might relate to?
Regards

The Black and Red cover is the UK edition. Thanks to a wonderful forum member, I'm the proud owner of one.

That would be a different one Jamie ;)
The copy that this thread is relating too is the triple signed BW which as Rob mentioned are still making the rounds on ebay.
------------------------
Colin I visited my local WH Smiths a couple of weeks ago and they were on the 4th printing but if you check out Asda they are still on the 1st as is Ottakars (if you have one of those) th: If you have trouble getting to the store I could always send one your way.

Thank you very much Kelly. If you happen to see it online would you mind posting a link here or PMing ne/. Again, thanks for your help!
All the Best ~ Jamie

My eyes are peeled for you ;)
JamieNYY - January 31, 2005 04:14 AM (GMT)
Kelly: Thank you, think I may have found one though! :)
whitbycolin: There's one on E-Bay right now ending on wednesday or thursday listed here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...ssPageName=WDVW It's about $24 US right now in case you're interested.
I'm probably gonna get the NorWood Group print first, then the 3X signed, then the UK edition because the artwork is better!
One question: do you all think this triple signed Black wind is worth $57.45 plus S&H? That's the best I can find without getting into an e-bay bidding war!
Kellym - January 31, 2005 11:15 AM (GMT)
That is great Jamie th:
A UK Black Wind is around £10 so make sure you don't pay over the odds for one ;)

That didn't even occur to me, thank you! I just took it off my watch list. The shipping alone to the US was almost $15 on top of the book price.
Cheers ~ Jamie :)

I think that shipping price might be right....it's just under £10 for airmail and just under £5 for surface for a copy of Black Wind.
Sorry can't think of the conversions right now :o

BEFORE YOU PAY A PREMIUM ON EBAY FOR ONE... You may want to check because I believe that you can still order the triple signed one from The Poisoned Pen.
