Title: Large Print Editions
boissee - February 8, 2005 08:07 PM (GMT)
I just got my first large print edition to add to the collection. And my husband wonders why I need four copies of the same book!
It is Sacred Stone, Large Print, Hard Cover. Anyone else collect the large print? Besides you Dave?

I have maybe a different school of thought on collecting the books than some people. I was in the library today and they had a bookshelf full of books that they were selling 50 cents for one or three for a dollar. There was a paperback copy of Inca Gold, in pretty good shape too. To make a long story short, I did not buy it because I already own a copy and would rather leave it there to inspire someone else into reading CC books than to bring it home and have it sit on my shelf next to the copy I read. I may be alone in this thinking, but hopefully someone else will buy it and love it as much as I do.

...or if you had purchased it you could have given it as a gift to a friend to get them addicted, just like you are. Where's the love? Man, you gotta drag your buddies into the same addictions that you have, don't ya? w:

I'm with Dave on that. I have over 160 Cussler books because I buy all the copies I can get my hands on especially the older ones just incase, as Erik found out, I can give them to someone or get someone new addicted to them. I've shipped them all over the world to people and I'm fixing to ship out Sea Hunters I and II to Australia. I want more people to read them and I'll help in any way I can!

Julie's right, she's AWESOME!
Maybe I'll go get it for my dad, he just started reading books again  and seems to enjoy Michael Connelly, whom I've never heard of.

Finally picked up that copy of Inca Gold today. My copy's getting pretty beaten up anyway, I suppose. th:

I have large prints of Mayday and Iceberg (both Ulverscroft), Med. Caper, RTT, Night Probe, PV (both US and UK). I've worked on getting those for about two years with my most recent addition being the US version of PV.
I think those are the most unique. Anyone have any others that would be good to add to a collection? I sought after those due to the unique dust jacket(s). I know there is a UK Night Probe that has a cool DJ, but I can't seem to track down one of those!
Cheers!

My mother has problems with her eyesight and she just got a Large Print copy of Black Wind through her book club. She loves Cussler novels, but it seems that not all of them are available in the large print.
