I've had my copy sitting in the bookcase with the rest of the Cussler books for a week now and it gives me a good feeling to see it there. It took a lot of time and anxiety and expense to get it there, but it was worth it even though I'm glad the project is finished.
I've got another project in the wind and I'll put another team together to produce it. Maybe we could produce a series of books.
Nick Kismet - February 21, 2005 06:50 PM (GMT)
I'll let you know when I've got my copy in hand.
But I'll tell you, I doubt anything could be much weirder than walking up to Clive and saying: "I, uh, wrote this book about you..."

You guys have way too much time on your hands to come up with this stuff. yike:
One note of concern (of course). The Titanic in the North Sea?
I am curious about your "meetings". Did you have video conferencing????
Loren - February 24, 2005 05:11 PM (GMT)
Liz has asked a good question...It does appear that the 4 of you sat across from one another while writing and researching...Were you all able to do this from video conferencing?

I can see how Sean, Helene, and Rob were able to meet face to face, as they live in the same part of North America. So that leads me to believe that Tony made a covert trip to the states. det:

Sean mentions in the Code, chapter 7 page 95 the Lorelei piece particularly the fictional Lorelei Aircraft Limited and did a search on Devonshire England, especially Lynmouth, which means "valley dwellers". Lynmouth is situated in the south of England, indeed in a valley. It is breathtaking. I had the pleasure of going there in spring 2000. It's sister, Lynton, sits atop the mountain above it. I swore the rental car would flip over backwards going straight up the side of the mountain. Well worth it if you can get there!

No need to worry. I posted about a dozen books out to the first lot that ordered them about 3 days earlier than the rest. I did this to test parcel weights and packaging before investing in hundreds of postage supplies. I'd expect the bulk of the orders to arrive in the next 3 days.
Hang in there! :)

Hey i just finished reading the Cussler Code.As the little German character in the old laugh-in tv show would say" VERRYY IINNTERESTIIINNNGGG!I think. No wonder Tony looked so haggard when i saw him last week when i picked up my copy.I started reading it last week and couldn't put it down.A great job done by all concerned.Cant wait to find out what the next project is all about.
loren1 - February 27, 2005 10:01 PM (GMT)

Yahoooo!!!! It's here. It opened my eyes on so many things I took for granted when I read the pv. A lot of interesting points made in the Code. I will have to go back and reread the Vortex. I can't beleive I missed so much. Thanks Tony and Sean! th:

Dartagnon - March 7, 2005 12:40 PM (GMT)
Just finished it last night. Thanks for all the hard work. Very much looking forward to seeing the results of your next project. It was cool to see the relatins to the Mayan and other cultures, because as soon as I got my Australian parcel, I had to set aside my current read (The Mayan Prophesies). After I finish it off, 'Pacific Vortex' is back on the top of the pile with 'The Clive Cusler Code' after to review what I missed over the many previous readings of the book. Enough rambling, thank you for sharing the excitement and insight with us.
p.s. Could Allard have been either of our favorite Cusslers incognito?
oswalder - March 7, 2005 07:49 PM (GMT)
Just got mine today, hoping that I remember enough of PV to understand everything. Will probably want to re-read PV afterward which is bad because it's still at school and I'm at home for Spring Break. Hmm. Here's to not moving from the couch until I finish the CCC. th:
