Who cares about the stupid humans,what happened to the poor whale?
Haha, I'm with you on that one! Bet it had a bit of a headache after that! :P
Several humpback whales have been struck by ships where I live. It seems every couple of years one washes up on shore here, the victims of colliding with boats. I even found one myself one time. It was "fresh", so to speak. As I was youngish (13-14 maybe?), my parents called the Department of Fisheries, and they sent a biologist to determine the cause of death. It was in the paper, radio, etc. I live in a boring town, heh.
Whales, once they've floated to shore and begin to rot, stink. It's an ungodly, horrible smell that few could put up with. The one I found was towed off the shore and towed down the coast to an easily acessable point, where it was brought back to shore and buried by an excavator.
