Update!! Thngs are great on the Invincible search. Grid has been narrowed down to an extremely small area so there should be some good news, keep your fingers crossed, this week!

Zavala update!
Still no marker for her yet but we just got back from Galveston and when we took Addy to see the Elissa there was a new addition to the museum. It was a beautiful model of the Zavala built by Fred Tournier under heavy glass.
So, I'm now curious about one thing and maybe Tony could find the answer for me. I'll put a picture when I finish the roll but under the glass is a little plague saying that Clive Cussler discovered the Zavala and I want to know if Clive put that there or if it was added later.
For anyone who doesn't know about the Zavala go back and read about it in the 1st Sea Hunters book and you'll know why I was shocked and awed to see this model because there are only 2 of them that were ever built and the girl at the museum had no idea what ship I was talking about. I'm sure that would thrill Clive to no end.

http://www.numa.net/articles/texas_naval_ship_zavala.html...the model of the Zavala commissioned by Cussler from craftsman and model shipbuilder Fred Tournier. Cussler has one model in his office, the other he donated to the Governor of the State of Texas. Reading CC's comments towards the end, Julie, it would seem that even the leaders of Texas have no idea! His reaction is a classic too. Typical CC.
Btw, have you been
Invincible hunting?

I knew you would ask that question and the answer is no I haven't, I don't even know if they've found anything more to bring them closer. There is a cannon from the Brutus at the museum and seeing it (do you know why?) makes me excited about the Invincible.
Clive's reaction was great and I felt the same way this weekend when the girl had no idea about the Zavala model.

Why Julie? Do tell!
Is it because it's a big lump of iron in good condition so since the Invincible had the same armament, you can go looking for lots of iron? ;) Only thing I can think of!
