Title: And the WINNER is ....

DirkPitt - March 10, 2005 09:48 AM (GMT)
Originality of concept was won by entry No2 followed by entry No4

Literary style was won by entry No2 followed by entry No3

Overall impression was won by entry No3 followed by entry No5

The overall winner of the competition by the barest of margins is Nick Kismet (Sean Ellis) with Entry No2 ... Suddenly Lost Summer

Congratulations to Sean and to runner-up khimera with Entry No3 ... Ebony and Indigo.

For the record, every entry was voted at least once in the top 3 places for the 3 different criteria. Congratulations to all 6 who participated in the competition!

The winning entry will be presented to Clive Cussler in the next few weeks. Any response from Clive regarding the winning entry will be posted here.

Wow, I'm honestly caught a little by surprise. I thought Nemo's twist was sure to steal the prize.

I'd like to thank the judges for not being put off by the admitedly overblown concept, and for not penalizing me for getting into print with the Code.
A big attaboy (or girl) to the other authors for making it a contest; I was worried for a while that it was going to be just me 'n Heep. Everyone did a great job, and hopefully these stories will all earn a special little place on the Forum for all the newbies who come along, like I did, wondering if anyone else caught the inconsistency of the immaculate conception. If it were up to me, Clive would be the final judge in the contest...c'mon Tony, the stories are pretty short, send them all!

Foremost, I have to thank the man himself for setting the stage. I'll bet he had no idea it would come to this.

tonym5 is absolutely correct when it comes to how hard it was to judge the stories. All were really good and very well written. Congrats to the winners...and the ones who didn't place--your work was fantastic as well.

It took me about 30 to 45 minutes to judge these excellent stories. It was a very tough decision. You all wrote some great stories! Congratulations! th: beer:

It was very difficult to decide between the 'missing pages' as they were all very good and each of you should be proud of yourselves.

A huge congratulations to Sean and khimera th: th:
