Title: Y Gelli-Hay on Wye
Description: Town of Books

This town in southern Wales on the border of England has 38 book stores. It left Kelly and I cross eyed by the end of the day, and me 100 pounds lighter! OK! £100 lighter! I've put a good dent in my UK Cussler editions though. We didn't got to all the shops, but did get to most. Even got a RTT in the Red Cross Charity shop. When I get home I'll list which titles I managed to get.
One book i got on Ocean Liners had a newspaper clipping about the revolver Fifth Officer Harold Lowe supposedly shot on the Titanic. WHAT A FIND FOR ME!

We don't even have a good used book store near me anymore. We had a great one a long time ago where I found a few nice Cusslers but he closed shop a number of years ago. All we have left is a Borders, but I was able to find a new hardcover Atlantis Found for $4.99 USD. I perused the entire store (CC's books are in a bunch of different locations) and could have come out with four or five others that I wanted but it's not in the budget this month.

Enjoy your new books and the rest of your time in England!

Hey Boiseee!!! w: Believe it or not i just got back from England where I spent most of my time in Whales. I also visitied Hay on the Wye and I LOVED it. Besides getting car sick on the way up from the winding roads, wasn't it awsome!!! Anyways, i just thought it was pretty cool that we have both been there and, not being sure, but im guessing from your screen name that your from Boise Idaho??? Well im from Nampa, which makes the whole thing a lot crazier! :P

You sure went to town there, Liz!! (in both senses of the word)

If I ever make a trip to the U.K. I'll sure stop there p:

Welcome to the forum DearHeart! Hay on Wye is wonderful! I'd love to open my own bookstore there. If you didn't find any Cussler books while you were there, it's because I bought them all myself!

Alas, i am from Maine, not Idaho. boissee is a combination of my first two initials and the first 5 letters of my last name. w:

38 bookstores!!!! I would be poor but book rich!!!! I assume they are on all kinds of subjects. That would be a readers' heaven to live there!!!! It would take me a lifetime or more to explore each one book by book.
