I've noticed that quite a lot of books have reviews by Clive Cussler. Mostly on action-adventure or suspense type books. I thought it would be different to start a list of his reviews.
Here's an example:

The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown
"Intrigue and menace mingle in one of the finest mysteries I have ever read. An amazing tale with enigma piled on secrets stacked on riddles." - CLIVE CUSSLER, #1 New York Times bestselling author |
I have a bunch more - now I have to unbury them. <_<

Got another one for ya.
A book written by Kevin F. McMurray called Dark Descent was good enough to be afforded the Clive stamp of approval. Its about the wreck of the Empress of Ireland and the divers who dive, and sometimes, unfortunately, die on it. Its quite a good read and I recommend it to anyone interested in diving. There is a few pages actually dedicated to Cussler, the author goes to Cussler's home and interviews him about the wreck. He even mentions 'Night Probe', because the Empress of Ireland plays a big part in it. Appearently Clive had first considered using the wreck of the Lusitania as a plot vehicle but decided on the Empress because she wasn't as well known. Anyway, here's your quote...
| QUOTE |
The most comprehensive and impressive account of the investigation of a shipwreck I've ever read. -Clive Cussler, author of Raise the Titanic! and The Sea Hunters |

Rogue Warrior II: Red Cell by Richard Marcinko
"Rogue Warrior II: Red Cell is a chilling, blood and guts, no-nonsense look into clandestine military operations told like it should be told. It doesn't come any more powerful than this." - Clive Cussler

I've also noticed that a lot of reviews refer to Dr. Cussler, saying how the book mixing the tech of Clancy with the action of Cussler. Or something like that...

Along those lines, people tend to describe Dirk Pitt as being a cross of an Indiana Jones and James Bond :)

He had a quote on the back of my edition of The Hunt for Red October by Tom Clancy. I'll go and look for it when I get a minute.

One review for a DuBrul book said that Mercer was a mix of Dirk Pitt and Indiana Jones, which I think is a actually quite true.
