Title: Sahara Everywhere!!
Description: Where have you seen it?

Mandasy123 - March 18, 2005 05:51 AM (GMT)
In these last two weeks it's like Sahara is popping up everywhere. Here we can say where we've seen them.

On the side of the bus down the street from my house
A poster at the bus stop
Commercials on BET (I walked in and saw it)
Sneak Peek during Indianna Jones tommorow on USA
Commercials on USA
I'ts madness I tell you MADNESS! p:

Look>> My sister said it looks like they stole it from Indiana Jones yike:

If you have Cable TV, (I have Comcast) there is a preview channel to view movie trailers, and the Sahara one is the longest most complete one that I've seen to-date... it's like all the trailers we've seen spliced together.

There's a two page spread of the Sahara poster in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. :P

You would know wouldn't you tony

I saw one of those larger than life (taller than me!) movie posters at the mall tonight. I was just walking around with my girlfriend and turned a corner and there it was! Made me happy. We talked about the film for a good ten minutes after that.

Other than having the tie-in book in the stores we have nothing :(

Step it up promotions people

Just saw a commercial for the Jeep Wrangler unlimited and it was a bunch of clips from the movie of them driving the jeep and at the end it said:

"Come see the Jeep Wrangler unlimited in SAHARA on April 8th."

I'm watching TBS.

They also used the words
"I don't know where we're going, but we're making great time"
in a way that make you think they're talking about the Jeep... <_<

Watch the Jeep TV-spot here!

I caught that too, but I think that's pretty standard for movie trailors. The superbowl spot combined two DP lines "We're going upriver..." and "The ship of death" to make it sound like he said "We're going upriver in the ship of death" when the actual trailer shows Steve Zahn saying "what's that mean?" to which DP replies "The ship of death." ("Great!")

So yeah that probably didn't make a whole lot of sense but basically you're right they did dub the landyacht dialogue onto a jeep scene.

I saw a two-page add for the Jeep, with Dirk, Al, and Eva in the most recent Entertainment Weekly. The caption went something like, "The best choice for great action movies" or something along those lines. It was kinda queer, then it talked about the 1,000 limited editions.

They showed 'part' of interviews with MM and PC this morning at 6:30am yike:

We saw the last few seconds of MM and no Sahara mention but hey at least the huge poster was in the background ;)

Then the interviewer went on about their romance (which could have been the whole point of the segment) and then we saw the beginning of PC's interview when a life-size Barney came in and sat on her and she was asking for help...from Breck, Matthew, Steve, anybody! it was quite entertaining.........turns out it was MM

beer: Here's to more Sahara promotion at 'normal' times!!!!! (some people are never satisfied hehehe)

I love that Sahara is getting so much publicity!! th:

Have you seen the new Sahara movie clip at the MTV blog?

Dirk Pitt is convincing Sandecker to give them a few extra days to look for the ironclad...

There are also some new clips showing at the beginning of each section of the official website... Poor people with modem connection.

Just saw a poster today on the side of a bus! p:

As Kellym said virtually nothing here in the UK. I have heard a few mentions on the radio but more to do with the romance between MM and PC than the actual film itself. I'm sure they (promo guys) will pull there fingers out soon.

What I've noticed going round town today is that the movies being promoted at the moment are due for release March 25th and April 1st so I'm guessing it'll be within the next week or so that we'll start to see some Sahara promotion det:

oswalder - March 23, 2005 11:48 PM (GMT)
It has already been in MyYahoo "Upcoming Movie Releases" for a few days now. It's getting closer!!! th:

Ta16uva - March 23, 2005 11:57 PM (GMT)

Haha yes I've seen it a few times already. Macy seems to be a convincing Sandecker. p:

The one time I don't watch it, they show a Sahara trailer. So far, I've only seen one trailer for it and a few posters.

tonym5 - March 25, 2005 12:05 AM (GMT)
