in seeing some computer artwork? I am a graphic artist who loves to work on book covers . . . I did some Cussler ones a while back and wouldn't mind showing them off again . . .

Hey
Yeah sure lets see what ya got Paul. Which books did you do?

pmkane - March 26, 2005 04:35 PM (GMT)
Here is my version of Iceburg . . . programs used include Photoshop for the actual image and Quark for the type layout . . . I envision this as a wraparound cover with the ship caught in the ice on the back cover . . . thoughts?

These are just the result of a bored graphic designer with a passion for Cussler's works and way too much time on my hands . . . I got a few more if anyone's interested. I've done a ton of covers for a 007 fan site where they publish e-fan-books featuring Bond . . . it's all great fun!

I've seen some of your work before, but I hadn't seen that Iceberg cover. Great stuff! I'd be interested in your Med Caper interpretation.

Beautiful rendition of Iceberg, Paul! We'd definately love to see more of your art!

thanks for the kind words, everyone! Here is a cover I did when the actors for Sahara were first announced . . . I changed the colors of Matt's eyes to an familiar green, not sure if it came though enough, but the effort was there . . .

This cover was my submission to a Cussler Art Contest over at the Simon & Schuster board . . . they came up with a fake name - Night Vortex - and a bunch of people entered. I based this concept on the current book designs and came in second. Had a lot of fun with it, though . . . hope you enjoy!

Yes, WOW, PM, you are a talented fellow! Don't hide your light under a bushel -- we'd love to see more of your artwork. What about a 'artist proof' on Serpent or say, Vixen 03??
