He's a guy, what do you expect? Actually they say brilliant people have horrible handwriting. Hmmmm, I must be a frickin genius! yike:

I have a handwritten letter from Clive, a very cool thing. Great Tony!

Nice! I agree, a little surprised by the handwriting!

Clive has the weirdest closings to his letters. "John Hancock, Clive." Most people put something like "sincerely" or "be well"

One of the cool quirks of a cool man. :)

Is that what that says?

Juan Cabrillo - March 30, 2005 07:56 PM (GMT)
It doesn't say "John Hancock" it says: "I'm honored"

That's what I thought at first, but I figured it was the effect of my ego on my eyesight. I think I'll go with John Hancock.

Haha, wow I guess it does. What was that someone said about his handwriting?

"John Handcock, Clive" does sound like something he would write though. Ah well. :)

How awesome, Tony, that Clive Cussler, whom we all admire, expresses his own personal awe and gratitude for a job well done! What a bonus to enjoying what you do!!!

i agree with juan. it reads to me as im honnord .
and i wish i could afford the cc code.the best i can do is find his books at yard sales or at flea markets and at goodwill stores .
here in nh it is very, very, hard to find cc books and a lot of people i talk to never even heard of clive cussler i find that very strange.
well maybe if mr cc would ever come to nh to a book signing or something it would look good for mr cc. (if interested send me an email mr cc). also the weird part is when we get his books they fly off the shelves ,i don,t know if people are buying them or the stores are hiding them? (a mistery for dirk and al to figure out) i saw the movie and loved it(sahara) am in the process of reading the book.
see ya,all later. det: w: yike:

I love solving mysteries. If Cussler's books are flying off the shelves in your area, they must be whisked away by readers that are fans of his. The store owners wouldn't be hiding them for they would not put them on the shelf to begin with  . I have found towns here with no Cussler books available, so I've asked the store owners about them. They tell me every time they get his books, people grab them.

Maybe the problem in your area is there's not enough Cussler books to go round.

Keep an eye on the forum, Steve. Tony may have another contest to win a copy of the CC code. It worked out for Thomas, maybe you will be the next winner. Good luck!

CONGRATS Tony, a tremendous success!

loren1 - July 28, 2005 11:51 AM (GMT)
Steve, if the books are flying off the shelves reserve one in advance, or order one from the forum. Easy way to make sure you get one.

Celeste - August 15, 2005 07:50 PM (GMT)
Congratulations Tony & Sean on a job well done!

I have my copy of the Code but seeing as how I haven't read Pacific Vortex yet I haven't read the Code.

On the upside though I am enjoying my Sahara DVD :)
