Forgive my being a little behind the times, but whatever happened to the lawsuit? The first I even heard about it was looking up information about the movie after seeing trailers .. I didn't even know this was coming.

But the newest references to it are from last year. Was it resolved? Are CC and the producers/director all seeing eye-to-eye again? Are we going to see more novels made into film?

I mean, I've always thought his books were taylor-made for movies, but .. well, I'm not going to get into the if-it's-not-faithful argument. It's been beat to death already, and it's a very common problem in Hollywood, mostly because the average Hollywood audience doesn't have the patience for the kind of depth one finds in novels.

But what about the lawsuit anyway? The movie's being released, so ..

I believe that the Dr. Cussler is taking this to trial after the movie is released. I'm not sure though :blink:
