whats up with the gold coins in the movie trailors? dirk and al never get any of the gold from the texas, even after they find it it says that the tuarags stole them all. also, in one of the trailors dirk and al are in a pick up truck and they manage to disconect the trailor bed and slide off, but i dont remember this ever happening. any answers?

Answer: The movie is meant to be in some way different than the book. They always are!!

The writers/directors/producers have taken quite a few liberties with the movie. It's best to treat it like a new Dirk Pitt adventure, rather than trying to think of it as Sahara the book in movie form.
