Does anybody know of any treasure stories?

I know of "rumors" of treasure.........both on the coast of Oregon.

Gold Beach (southern end of state) was supposedly named such because of all the gold on the beach....I don't remember if it was supposed to be from a shipwreck or naturally occurring.

Somewhere by Tillamook (northern end of state) there is supposed to be a sand spit (can't remember the name) that a Spanish ship sank on hundreds of years ago, and at certain tides pieces of gold treasure come to the surface.....

If I get a chance I will research more and post again....sorry my memory is so bad.

Rumor has that a Japanese submarine sunk in WWII of the West Side of Pinang Island. It's cargo is alleged to be of gold bullion and precious ornaments. A combined Royal Navy and Royal Malay Navy search failed to find the submarine in 1957.
