Description: don't be ashamed

golferreino2002 - March 23, 2004 03:45 AM (GMT)
my favorite book is Inca Gold or Sahara what do you think.

Karo - March 24, 2004 06:25 AM (GMT)
Yep Inca Gold is my favourite too.

Admiral Doria - March 24, 2004 09:22 AM (GMT)
If Serpent had been Dirk & Al then it would be that but as it's not my favourite is still

TREASURE

kujo54 - March 24, 2004 10:20 PM (GMT)
With me it would be a tie between Inca Gold and Treasure. Both very, very good.

Atlantis Found....w/o doubt...

JimmyAEMT-I - March 25, 2004 01:19 AM (GMT)
So far.....Pacific Vortex or Vixen 03.

Tommy - March 25, 2004 04:39 AM (GMT)
They`re all very good, so it`s hard to pick a favorite. For me, I guess it`s a tossup between Deep Six and Treasure.

Kellym - March 25, 2004 07:56 PM (GMT)
I guess my favourite would have to be Inca Gold or Dragon or Atlantis Found, I really wish I could be one of those decisive people but whenever I get on this subject (usually with myself, I might add) my answer is alway different, I think it's because they are all so good that it just depends on my mood as to which is a fav at the time.

buzzardluck - March 26, 2004 05:23 PM (GMT)
picking your favorite book is akin to picking witch one of your children you like best!

that said i still like raise the titanic as it was the first that i read! :P

Cussler Fanatic - March 26, 2004 11:31 PM (GMT)
SAHARA, it was my first and still favorite!!!

Ian Kharitonov - March 27, 2004 05:45 PM (GMT)
RTT, shockwave, treasure, inca gold and vixen 03 are my favs. can't narrow it down any further.

boissee - March 29, 2004 12:57 AM (GMT)
Raise the Titanic! Of course!

hiramyaegar - March 29, 2004 08:22 PM (GMT)
Hard for me to say. I like
  • Raise the Titanic!
  • Sahara
  • Inca Gold
  • Treasure

janiscarol - March 31, 2004 07:11 PM (GMT)
So far every book is my favorite, but I did like Trojan Odyssey. It expanded his horizon with the kids.

motorcycleress - May 30, 2004 06:14 AM (GMT)
Ya know,

after a while all the books tend to meld together in my mind, especially since Dirk travels from one exotic location to another in the same book....mainly DC and Colorado plots are hard to place; Dirk is always flying back to one of those locations so its hard to remember which events from there belong to which storyline.

it's kinda nice because then I get to read the books all over again and refresh my memory.

I agree with you but I put 2 books more to this list:
  • Dragon
  • Atlantis Found

I find it amusing that no one can seem to pick just one! :)
I'm the same way, though...my favorites are Raise The Titanic and Sahara....

Helene Noelle - May 31, 2004 07:33 AM (GMT)
The first book I read was Inca Gold. It is still my #1 favorite Dirk Pitt adventure. Then I pick the next sixteen!

mr periwinkle - May 31, 2004 09:32 AM (GMT)
Well i agree with all of you.Its hard to pick your favourite.
But Sahara was the first book i read,so this one is special to me.Its the book that got me hooked on Clive Cussler and its the book that has the character which led to my nick name.

Emerald Dolphin - June 3, 2004 07:21 PM (GMT)
Most probably Atlantis Found, that was the first book I read. I have read about five of clives books so far without another five waiting to be read on my bookshelf, so this opinion could change in the near future as there are the likes of Inca Gold and Sahara up there.

Whatever - June 4, 2004 11:42 PM (GMT)
Very hard to pick just one book. The first one I ever read was RTT. Have since read almost all of the rest except the newest....Only up to Valhalla Rising so far.
My favourites are.

1. Inca Gold
2. Sahara
3. Treasure
4. Raise the Titanic

reaphy - June 6, 2004 08:08 PM (GMT)
I asked me why nobody said that his favorite book is one from the Numa Files with Joe and Kurt.

I have a new favorite. Deep Six. Inca gold is in a close second though.

BBanzai - June 17, 2004 06:30 PM (GMT)
Am I the only Flood Tide fan? b:

reaphy - June 17, 2004 07:59 PM (GMT)
no, I like this book also :)

householdrob - June 20, 2004 03:04 AM (GMT)
Inca Gold, definitely.
And it would make such a great movie. Word on the street is that after Sahara, Anschutz has the right to Inca Gold and Night Probe! given he doesnt get run over with this lawsuit. But seriously, where did Night Probe! come from? We have Sahara, Inca Gold, okay and then all of a sudden its back to an oldie, I mean how many fans pick it as a Fav? not many, that should say something, its not bad but into a movie? Hmmmm.....just something to stew over.

loren1 - June 20, 2004 01:15 PM (GMT)
can't say that I have a favorite. They are all # 1 with me. Each one is better than nothe one before it. no other set of books come close to a cussler book

I don't know there was something about that one that didn't appeal to me. Don't get me wrong, it was a great book, but he might've done a little better.

productionx - June 24, 2004 12:59 PM (GMT)
