What a competition!!!!!!
http://www.thehistorychannel.co.uk/site/mi...ex.php?page=WinAs the highlight of our Titanic event, The History Channel has teamed up with Titanic - The World Class Collection, to offer you the trip of a lifetime down to the ocean floor to see the wreck of HMS Titanic. Journeying down 12,500 ft on board a MIR submersible (just like in the films), our lucky winner will become one of a tiny elite group who have ever dived to those depths.

If you won Liz, I'm positive I'd hear the scream across the Bay of Fundy for sure. Heck, Kel might hear it across the Atlantic!
Can you imagine winning such a prize?? Talk about the trip of a lifetime!

DO you know how much valium I'd have to take to be able to even enjoy such a trip? I used to take Dramamine, but valium allows me to stay awake! ROFL yike:

Leave it alone. It's a grave NOT a bloody vacation spot.

The screaming you would hear from me is when they try to stuff me through the hatch.

Rob, Yes, it's a grave. They are for visiting. They are not for plundering. Visiting it is like going to pay your respects to friends and relatives at a cemetary. We don't want to disturb any one there. It's a chance of a life time. t:

Who is talking about taking a vacation? How is seeing the site in person different from going to a battlefield site, just cuz it's under water?? I would think that it would make it easier to appreciate the magnitude of what took place. Shame on those who go to plunder and desecrate for profit. I'm not into that, but going to view, I don't see why not. I think you know that I'm a little more compassionate than that. Two weeks on a boat and being seasick 24 hours a day is not what I call a vacation, but an opportunity of a lifetime that I would gladly suffer for. t:

Wow Rob, I'm surprised. You were sounding kinda harsh there in response to Loren1 and Liz's wanting to win the competition. I think you know them well enough, especially Liz, (being the Titanic enthusiast she is) to know that they wouldn't be the type to look at it as a vacation or in a disrespectful way. People visit grave sites to pay their respects, and I, myself, look at the Titanic grave site the same way. As long as you're there just to view it and not touch or plunder it, I think that is totally fine. Would you agree with that? :)
