TKO partners push project forward
NDL, a 3D graphics technology developer for the computer and video game industry, has licensed Gamebryo to use in TKO Software Inc.’s production of an action adventure PlayStation2 game based on the upcoming movie "Sahara".
"Partnering with NDL was an ideal solution for this project because of their proven track record and the extensive knowledge and experience of their technical support team," said Jacob Hawley, president and chief executive officer of Santa Cruz-based TKO Software. "It was crucial that we deliver a multiplatform title at the same time as the movie launch. Licensing Gamebryo for the PlayStation2 will help us to deliver Sahara on schedule."
Sahara is an upcoming film from Paramount Pictures and Crusader Entertainment based on one of a series of best-selling books by Clive Cussler. The movie stars Matthew McConaughey, Penelope Cruz and Steve Zahn.
Gamebryo is a graphics engine, providing tools to help companies generate 3-D graphics without sacrificing development time creating gaming features. It’s been used in the creation of computer and video games for the personal computer, Xbox, PlayStation2 and GameCube.
