This was one of the original topics here on the forum. It was deleted soon after posting because it was not deemed appropriate.

This softcover version of The Mediterranean Caper was printed in the USA but was not sold there. It was shipped to England and other countries as an overseas edition.

There are only a few of these books known to exist in collections.

That would explain why the title on all of my copies are in the middle of the page. Thanks Tony, that's a new one for us to look for.

I saw one of those in a second hand book store early this year, here in Melbourne.

I'd have to agree also on how rare that book is, I have seen several in the past year and second-hand bookstores and own a copy of the same exact book myself. It has no white type over Dirk Pitt and looks exactly like the cover you have shown with the same identification, same everything. Who knows, maybe there is something I'm missing.

I am one of the fortunate collector's to have found one of these "Naked Pitt's" in great shape. The seller didn't know what he had.
