I’ve decided to sell the majority of my Clive Cussler collection (excluding my first editions). This initial offering will consist of 405 items, 232 of which are signed, many of which are extremely rare. I expect these items to move fast, so I recommend you act quickly. I sincerely doubt you’ll see a vast collection like this one come onto the market again—-at least not one at these bargain prices. To view the updated list of items for sale, please visit:
http://www.robgreer.com/cussler.pdfPlease note that I’ll do my best to update the list, removing those items that have already sold, as frequently as I can. If you have trouble viewing this information, e-mail me (cusslersale@robgreer.com) and I’ll send you a simple text file.
Orders will be fulfilled on a first come, first serve basis. Simply send me an e-mail with a list of the items you wish to purchase. Please include the "Reference #" found at the end of each listing. I’ll accept payments via credit card through PayPal (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express) in addition to your checks and money orders. Please do not send your payment until I confirm that the books you want are still available. After your e-mail me your order, I’ll send along a confirmation address with your grand total, my PayPal address, and my mailing address.
Shipping Charges
For USA orders, all items will be shipped via USPS media mail (approximately 7-10 days for delivery). USPS Priority mail is also available for additional charges. International shipping options only include USPS Airmail. Insurance should also be included if desired (optional). I will NOT BE RESPONSIBLE for uninsured items lost or damaged by the USPS. All items will be CAREFULLY packaged to make sure they arrive in excellent shape. For USA orders, the media mail shipping charges will be $3 for the first book and $1 for each additional hardcover or trade paperback and $0.50 for each additional mass market paperback. For non-USA orders, the price will be variable based on your location. I’ll give you a final price once I’ve assembled your order.
Notes on Book Condition:
As a book collector, I'm very particular about my condition description of the books that I'm offering. The more rare the book, the more detailed my descriptions. And for those more rare books, since I describe every flaw, the condition of the book may be better than you might believe if you simply read the description. Here you will find a statement as to how I rank the condition of my books.
Very Fine (VF): The highest grade given to any copy, very fine is a term that describes a crisp fresh copy and it admits no flaws. Any copy with even a minor blemish is never graded very fine.
Fine (F): A copy that is without significant flaws, but lacking the pristine crispness of a very fine copy. Any minor blemish in the book or the dust wrapper will be noted in the description.
Near Fine (NF): A near fine copy is very close to fine condition, but has some minor flaw or flaws that prevent the fine categorization; however, the flaw(s) are not enough to warrant a very good classification. Many of the near fine books I offer would be considered fine by some booksellers.
Very Good (VG): A very good copy is no longer fresh; it has been handled and shows some signs of wear, but it is still sound and appealing. Flaws such as ownership signatures, bookplates and remainder marks are noted in the description, along with rubbing, chips and tears, and price-clipping in dust jacket, where applicable. However, except in more rare books, not every flaw may be noted.
Good (G): Good is the lowest grade given to a collectable copy. The book has been used, but it is whole. There may be one major flaw, like dampstaining or a cracked hinge, that keeps it from a higher grade or there may be an accumulation of minor problems. A dust jacket may have some design elements lost, but it must not be fragmentary. Detailed descriptions of all the flaws are not always noted.
Who Am I
I’ve been a Cussler collector for as long as I can remember. I’m currently the NUMA webmaster and have been active in collecting Cussler from the earliest days. I’m selling my collection now because I plan on buying a home in Los Angeles—and the prices are simply outrageous. I really, really, really hate to sell these but it will be an easy way for me to raise a great deal of money very quickly. And besides, I'm not selling my first editions, those items that are inscribed to me, or those that have special meanings. Those will leave my possession when I finally kick off--not before. So please don't ask to buy those items. If it's not on the list, it's not for sale. ;)
Good luck and happy collecting!
