I was in Massachusetts for the Titanic Historical Society Annual Event and we had free time on Saturday afternoon, so myself, my dad, and my new friend Karen from England went antique and book hunting. I was just telling Karen the night before at dinner about wanting to find the Dodd Mead Iceberg, but not for the normal going prices I've seen. We were driving around and my dad saw a used book sale, so we stopped. I asked where the Cussler books were and made a bee-line to them. There were only two hardcovers. Trojan Odyssey and a Dodd Mead Iceberg. I was stunned. Now granted, it is an ex-lib, but I don't care. There are no stickers on the dust jacket and I will change that to a Brodart cover. The DJ is the best part, in great condition. I wish the book was better, but oh well. It was a dollar, and Karen paid for it!!! So it was actually FREE! Thanks Karen!
Wonderful find Liz. Hope you had a good time at the annual event. I have to say I was thinking about you being there in that beauitful dress :) Did you get to talk to Dr. Ballard? w:

Yup! Check under Gen Topics or the Titanic Forum. th:
I try to scrounge every garage sale I see for the Cussler diamonds in the rough but have been so far unsuccessful. I was at one sale, though, and was looking at the few books that were out and asked if she had any Clive Cussler books and she said "None that I'm willing to put out (for sale)." I had to laugh. Who in their right mind would sell Cussler books at a garage sale? :)
