I 90% sure this was in Vixen03, when Pitt when to the see old man about the plane. The old man was doing his gardening.

I love all the scenes where Dirk is trying to convince someone of who he is and he has them call Sandecker. I think there are more than just the South winning the Civil war one, but I should have guessed AF on that anyway, it's one of my fav's.

Nope, good guess though. I also love those moments, they make me laugh!

the clues are in the quote itself, Al putting aside his rifle suggests its shortly after a mini-battle... Al being surprised to see Pitt suggests they'd been separated somewhere...

so I'd say its in..... Sahara !!

I thought Sahara too, but this is their reunion at the fort after the battle ;
