Title: Let's get this party started...
Description: New Fan Art

andyhuff - October 17, 2005 04:24 AM (GMT)
WHat's happenin' all? I'm gonna try and breath some life into the Fan Art forum with a new graphic. Its a powerful scene from a great Dirk Pitt novel (they're all pretty great, aren't they? ;) ). Can you tell which?

I'm also gonna be posting some of the different elements I've used in my images, like pics of Matthew McConaughey's Dirk Pitt, so you guys can start designing your own stuff too!

Awesome work Andy. Keep it up th:

Yeah, I was an extra in crowd scenes for a Disney movie called Invincible that is coming out next year. It stars Mark Wahlberg and is about this 30 year old bartender who makes an open tryout for the Philadelphia Eagles in the late 1970s (true story). They were filming a game between the Eagles and the Cowboys here in Dallas over three days. I went on the third day after all of the game was filmed and they were filming effects shots with a crowd of about three hundred or so. They would move us to different sections in the stadium and shot us doing the same reactions. They'll combine all of the shots digitally to fill the stadium, so I have the potential to be on screen like ten times in the same shot! hahaha....it was fun and I can say I was in a Disney movie. :)

Now if only they would film the next Dirk Pitt movie around here...

You could reduce the file size using graphics software like photoshop. If you need help with that, contact me and I'll reduce it for you.

oswalder - December 23, 2005 04:32 PM (GMT)
You could also contact John (Foss Gly) because he knows of a really good way to post pictures through a third party posting agency. It works pretty well, I just don't remember how to do it.

Good luck!

This is a free one from Google that was recommended to me tonight. Probably not as good as photoshop but might suffice. Anyone have experience with it?

Hmm, I'd never considered doing a sketch related to Cussler's novels. And since it appears the last post in this forum was July, I think I'll go try my hand at it.

oswalder - September 17, 2006 07:23 PM (GMT)
Welcome to the forum, Airman! I was hoping someone would contribute to this category soon. Looking forward to seeing your drawing(s)! w:

Erik

Airman - September 17, 2006 07:47 PM (GMT)
I'm gonna be honest, my typical style lies along the categories of Anthro/Anime, but I'm always up to a new challenge.

Hmm, I've started work on what I hope to fit the description of "Old Gert" from "Dragon"
