I have been collecting the hard cover books of Mr Cussler. Do to a hip replacement, and these old eyes are not what they where I have started to collect the unabridged version of the books. Each book even tho I have read the book has a new and interest when someone reads the book. There is a wide range of readers but all give the story some more feelings.
The Kurt Austin books are easyer to find in unabridged versions. The abbridged versions are too quick and you do not get the full story.
Enjoy all

I might be interested in picking up one of the audio versions just to see how different an experience they are as compared to the physical feeling of holding a book in one's hand.

It's funny when I bought my first audio book it was Shock Wave and I decided to read along with it.What I didn't realize was that I had bought the abridged version. So here I am reading along and all of a sudden it jumps ahead 2 chapters.I must have made quite the site racing through the books to catch up.
I enjoy the audio because it does give you a new spin on the books,it always sounds different in my head when I read it...and I get another description when I listen.I recently picked up Trojan Odyssey on cd and am waiting till we drive to Nelson(800 kms) to listen to it.Should be fun.

Make sure you get the unabridged version. One of the best web sits is books on tape dot com. For the very lucky people, this company is located in Santa Ana California. I have been told that there is a store at their location. They are a few more at audio book stand dot com. Enjoy
