Here's a new forum game we can try out. I've dubbed it "TIME MACHINE" Basically, we start with the current year and work our way backwards.
All you have to do is come up with anything newsworthy that happened in a particular year. That year is worked out by deducting a year from the post above.
You can describe any type of event including movie releases, famous people's birth/death years, conflicts, extreme weather and natural phenomena, landmark achievements, elections, etc etc etc ....
I'll start the game off ;
