The identities of the crew of the Civil War submarine H.L. Hunley are coming to light just days before the mens remains are to be buried. The first submarine to sink an enemy ship, the Hunley itself sank off South Carolina in 1864, was found in 1995, and was raised in 2000.

what a bunch of goofs they only mention clive cussler once in the entire article like he was just some anomous guy who ponied up some money he was there you morons and dove on the thing as well as did a lot of the reserch and funded the effortwith out him the hunley would still be a mystery.these people should be flogged . :angry:

I saw the "artist" who created those faces on a National Geographic special this weekend. I think she was smoking crack; a real loo loo. Those reconstructions are so very flawed. The methodology they employ is guesswork at best. :(

don't know how I missed the national geographic special on the hunley. try to catch everthing about it. Maybe they will rerun it. We know the truth about clive and his finds. We will have to spread thwe word.w:
