Thanks guys! I'll make more as I order more beads and try and get one up a few times a month until everyone has a chance at getting one. Some of the beads are pretty scarce, like the long bone beads, and I'm having difficulty finding more.

To compound the situation, a few of my friends and family members want one and about 20 people have asked me to just sell certain beads to them. I'd LOVE to, but if I say yes to 1 person I have to say yes to everyone and then I wouldn't have any more for the actual necklace.

I have placed another necklace up for auction and hopefully I'll be able to make a handful more before I run dry of beads.

Just check Ebay occasionally. I have a few left and I'll try and put them up once a week or so. I'm also purchasing slightly different beads to make it even more exact as I'd like it to be as precise as possible. Thanks for the kind words!

Thanks Bill. I have a question for you. Since you obviously did an awsome job recognizing the beads on Dirks necklace, I was wondering if you could take a quick look at Al's bracelet. It appears to be puka shells but im not soo sure, I've never seen puka shells that big. Could it be ivory or something? Any suggestions would be a great help. Thanks, w:

Hey durkpiet, did you check out polak's link above. If you type Sahara in the movie box it will show you props from the movie...including Al's bracelet. Take a look and tell me if its make-able.

They look like dremeled trapezoidal shells or something...I looked all around for them but haven't seen anything like them yet. I'll keep looking. Once somebody finds the shells, it won't be terribly difficult to reproduce. I am also updating dirks necklace with more accurate beads and I will post a photo when I finish in a few days. Your necklace is wonderful!! All of our necklaces should do well on ebay as there are, apparently, a number of people who want a necklace and can't find everything to make theirs. I sell stones for a living so getting it all is easy for me.
Until I was approached by a policeman here in Austin about a necklace, I did not realize there was an audience for them. In his necklace, I used a freeform thick Chrysoprase nugget that is spectacular!! The chrysoprase teardrops are beautiful, but a freeform nugget makes them a little different than all the others. Someone else has added a necklace onto the list also tonight for bid. Good luck to all of us-I think there is plenty of business for all.
Also, if anyone is interested, I will still do custom necklaces cheaper than you can get them on ebay.
