Speaking, not as a moderator but as a reader, I never could understand why the fan clubs took root in the books forum. Those seem much better suited to General Topics.
Given the categories on the forum index, I'd say that this one ought to be reserved for discussions of book content or book collecting.
But you all know this is just sour grapes because there was never a Nick Kismet fan club! j:
