Thanks, Julie! Another amazing story.

QUOTE
Rudkin said on the Web site that he considered taping a flare to a cooking gas canister, "and trying to shoot it Jaws style, but thought better of it."

Sorry, Erica, but that would have been pretty sweet if they'd pulled it off. p:

They were lucky to get away. The support ship must have been quite a ways away to take 6 hours to get there. Another reason to stay out of small boats.

What kind of shark was it? Does anyone know? It was only biting at the rudder and the sea anchor. What are those made of- here is where I show some ignorance- is it metal or what? Though I would hate to admit it, it would have been rather wicked had they been able to go JAWS on it. All they had to do was hit it on the nose or gills with their oars. It would have left them alone. What did they do for the six hours that they were waiting on the ship? Sit and play cards??

Maybe no one told the shark it was only after the rudder or anchor. Sorry Erica, I couldn't resist. Either way I wouldn't want to be there.
