Kurt reads the note and smiles. Carmen Sandefur, the Director of NUMA walks up to Kurt and wraps her arm lightly around Kurt and they walk away. Summer walks up to Dirk Jr., "I think those two make a cute couple, don't you? my dear brother". Dirk Jr. looks at Summer with a bemused smile. "I have no doubt that Kurt will do fine after the divorce from Annelise last year. If Carmen makes him happy so be it". "I am just glad it was not a bad divorce despite the kids" replies Summer.

May 2, 2021. Aboard the NUMA Ship, Violet Skies, Captain Hjalmar Himmelgrad watches over the shoulders of Me'chelle Modego at the video of a sunken Clipper ship in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The ROV scans along the sunken craft and follows the starboard side until it nears the prow and the name of the ship appears, Daggat. With an unknown cargo headed to the United States, she had sunk in 1854 with all hands. On May 4, 2021, Carmen Sandefur, Director of NUMA holds a press conference about the finding of the Daggat by the NUMA crew aboard the Violet Skies. May 8, 2021. Ruliff Daggat, a resident of Puerto Rico is leafing through a magazine when he spots the article about the finding of his great-great grandfather's ship that disappeared in the Pacific. Little was left of Daggat Shipping except for his fishing trawler and a couple of small freight ships. Ruliff Daggat is a small-time operator in drugs and munitions. After reading the article in the lobby of the doctor's office, he forgets about the appointment and heads home. Ruliff goes through some bound books that are the records of Daggat Shipping. He finds the entry for the ship that disappears and reads that it was carrying over 16 tons of cocaine and heroin. Aware of the drought of hard addictive drugs in the United States he wonders if the cargo of the Daggat is still intact and in good shape. He knows that he has to find an operator with big money to retrieve the cargo of his great-great grandfather's ship.

He spies a strange looking lad about his age haggling over some food at a stall. He sidles up to the food stall and looks at the food the half-oriental boy is haggling over. The boy looks at him and smiles easily. After the deal is made the boy turns to Matthew and offers a bite of a strange looking fruit. "It is Leichi" the boy says. Matthew is nonplussed at the taste of the strange fruit. "Hi, I am Matthew Caine" the boy says. "Hi, I am Matthew Pitt". "Ha, we have the same first names" Matthew Caine says. "Are you Japanese or English?' replies Matthew Pitt. "I am half Chinese and half American, and am over here in Japan for a visit. I live in China but I was born back in the Unired States" says Matthew Caine. A strange and gruff sea Captain comes up and pushes the two boys aside and demanding some fruit, "I am Captain Daggat and will not be cheated in the price of some good fruit for myself and my crew", demands the gruff man. The two boys then decide to walk away and chat, getting to know each other.

The old sea captain walks into the waiting room looking for the last person who signed in and spies Matthew. Matthew recognized the old captain and tenses up. The captain himself feels he has met this young fellow before. He walks up to Matthew and asks, "May I be able to ask you if'n I could sleep in the room with you, naturally on the floor of course". "Welll....I guess you could if you don't bother me" replies Matthew. "I am mighty obliged to you, sir" replies the old captain.

April 4, 1861. Knowing that war may break out soon, Matthew Pitt was ready with his articles about the players soon to be involved in the war. Matthew had done his research. Now, that his last article about them was published he decided to take one last trip west of the Mississippi River and was riding his horse just outside of Taos when he recognizes Matthew Caine walking over a hill in his direction. Matthew rides to his friend and they talk about life between their last meeting. "Yes, my last article was just published a few days ago. A very interesting man named George Montgomery who is in the Union Army who is from San Francisco". "You remember the old sea captain that nearly knocked us over at the food stall?" asks Matthew Caine. "Oh, yes, I have had some run ins with him since then". "Well, that is why I am kind of staying in the wilds of your west, because I accidentally killed him back in San Francisco and now I have a price on my head for another killing. I killed a member of the royal family back home in China after I finished my schooling at the monastery. Now I am being hunted for for both".

Finally convincing a leader of the Mara Salvatruca, an El Salvadoran gang to bankroll his plan to flood the streets of America anew with cocaine and heroin, Ruliff Daggat was thinking of the money that would be coming into his hands and be able to revive Daggat Shipping back to it's old glory. With some muscle provided by the Mara Salvatruca, Ruliff Daggat felt he could do anything.

March 16, 1898. "I have proof that you traded munitions for drugs but unfortunately the drugs were destroyed along with the lives of 260 crewmembers of the Maine and with only the statements of those involved in the munitions, I am unable to write my article conclusively" states Matthew Pitt. "I am aghast that you would even consider writing such a blasphemous report on me" retorts William R. Hearst Jr. "Believe you me I would love to nail you to the wall" counters Matthew Pitt. "Good day, Mr. Hearst!" Matthew Pitt turns and walks out of the office. He heads to Grand Central Station for a train trip to San Francisco and a ship ride to Hawaii for some recreation and a possible business deal with the Dole family.

At the dock he awaits for her departure from the ship, The Vandalia. Finally she appears on deck and walks down the gangplank. She spies Matthew Pitt and she runs into his arms hugging and kissing her old friend. "What brings you to Hawaii, my dear Matthew?" she asks. "I just finished a business deal with the Dole family to send some fruit to the Orient aboard a friend's freighter and now I am just relaxing before I head off to do some reporting on the preparations for the war in Cuba at the staging of supplies in Tampa, Florida" replies Matthew. "Well, I hope you can spend some time with me while I am here in Hawaii before I return to Gunantambu" returns Emma. Three days later on the beach while carousing and telling tall tales a friend of Emma's shows up at the beach. Emma introduces Matthew to Lily Montgomery. Emma senses a kinetic energy between the two and smells romance. Sure enough, Matthew extends his stay another week to get to know Lily better. In May of 1899 Emma comes back to Hawaii for their wedding. Then while in Europe in 1900 she receives a telegram that announces the birth of George Pitt.

Raoul de Pedras de Corazon smirks at Ruliff Daggat after listening to the man's big plans. As the leader of the MS-13 gang, Raoul was hard-bitten that the supposed cargo of drugs would still be in usable condition, is willing to put up with this half-wit to flood the streets of America with drugs and revive the power that the Mara Salvatruca had just a few years ago in America. After that witch in Korea had manipulated the MS-13 gangs in America for the purpose of forwarding her own agenda in the name of the Trojan cult that she led, Raoul was not about to let the MS-13 gang be used again, especially by Ruliff Daggat.

October 28, 1929. Black Monday, a date that will haunt an entire generation as many lives were ruined by the financial depression that started in Wall Street and would spread across the Atlantic. Men and Women were running in the streets of New York City in hysteria. Matthew Pitt was dumbstruck by people's reliance on monetary gains for happiness. He was walking around watching the growing fear. He heard a scream and saw some people ahead of him look up and as he did a body flew down and smashed on the sidewalk. He soon heard that many others had taken this route to end their lives. Up ahead he saw a man and what appeared to be his young daughter fighting. He saw the man draw a gun and Matthew ran towards the man. He knocked the man down and as he was struggling to right himself, Matthew found himself looking into the face of Rudolf Daggat. Without thinking, Matthew punched the man. The man fell back down and was dazed. "If you are so darn stupid enough to kill your daughter, you do not deserve to be her father" spat, Matthew. Matthew asked if the girl would like to leave her father behind and walk with him. She said yes and followed him, looking back and then screamed as her father grabbed his gun. Matthew Pitt swung around and without thought took the few steps quickly and in a lightning move removed the gun from the man's hand. He swung at the man again that knocked him unconscious. Matthew walked away with the girl holding his hand. Later, the girl introduced herself as Emilia Daggat. Not knowing what to do with her, he inquired if she had any relatives. She said that she had an older brother who was already living on his own and did not know how to contact him. Matthew had an idea and took her on a train ride across the country and headed to China on a steamer. He knew that Matthew Caine could take care of her in his monastery.

Later, after five years in China with Matthew Caine and having learned Tai Chi, she was old enough to be on her own. Emily Deveraux was her name now and soon she learned to fly in an abandoned plane that some American pilot had abandoned outside a small Chinese village. She soon began flying around and earning money by showing her skills and teaching a few. She met an author, Pearl Buck, who told her stories of America and how it was slowly changing back to it's old glory. Emily got homesick and decided to head for America where she continued her flying as one of a few women pilots flying on a regular basis for show. Later, after war broke out in Europe Emily sensed that it would only be some time when the United States would be involved. She joined the Navy. She tried to convince them of her flying skills but was not believed by the men. They soon found something else she was good at, swimming, and soon she was learning to dive for the Navy. It was after the United States had entered the war that she learned her father had died in 1939.

2021. At the age of 102, Emily Devereaux Broadbent was alone again after 70 years of marriage when her husband, Daniel Broadbent passed away in 2019. She was still in good shape and doing a heck of a job running her husband's company, Broadbent Herkimer. The Company's progress in turning around blighted inner cities was a success. Some had taken a herculanean effort because of the power of gangs and organized crime. There were still many cities she wanted to take care of. Detroit was the hardest to turn around. Now, at her age she began thinking of somebody who was qualified to take on the job should she falter. With an executive headhunter company looking for someone, it would be a matter of time. She was now reading a prospective about Evangeline Carrington Pitt. The Pitt name rang familiar until she rememberd meeting Dirk Pitt back in the late 1960s when she had gone over to Vietnam on a job for for the company. She remembers now his story about rescuing an Admiral Sandecker by shooting down his plane. And that brought up memories of her brief affair during World War 2 with James Sandecker. She read some more of the prospectus when she learns that Evangeline is Dirk Pitt's daughter-in-law. Married to one Dirk Pitt Jr. Emily decides to set up an appointment with Evangeline Pitt, to learn more about her skills even though most of it was educational administration, she decided to see what the young woman had to offer. It would be most interesting to meet another member of the Pitt family considering what Matthew Pitt had done for her. She was most grateful to Matthew Pitt.

May 2021. Carrington Pitt walks confidently into Emily Broadbent's office and is directed to sit by Emily. "Welcome to Broadbent Herkimer, Mrs. Pitt, I may be an old woman but am quite capable still to run this company and have done so in one form or another since my husband started this company just after we married back in 1949. How long have you been married now Mrs. Pitt?". "It will be seven years in November" replies Evangeline. "Have you any kids?" "Yes, I have three kids. Two girls and a son" replies Evangeline. "I have read of your experience as an administrator in the field of Education and am impressed. I am also pleased to see that you have worked in Urban areas before you went on to work for the NEA, As administrator of the National Science Foundation's Science and Engineering Directorate, Chief Science Officer on the Pennsylvania Colony on Mars, Science and Technology Advisor to President Rogers and then UnderSecretary of Education for President Melendez. Most Impressive career for someone as young as you are at 38 this month". Evangeline smiles and "Thank you for the compliment Mrs. Broadbent". "So, tell me why you want to work for Broadbent Herkimer" states Emily Broadbent. Carrington speaks for the next five minutes and at the end Emily is happy to hear why Carrington wants to work in the Urban areas of the blighted inner cities. "You are hired, Mrs. Pitt and I am sure you will work hard to help these young people in the cities".

Happily, Summer Pitt toils in the huge Seaquarium that was just recently built in Houston. Working as a marine biologist was satisfying work and the Seaquarium was built to help revive the inner city of Houston that has been plagued with problems for nearly 40 years. After cleaning some pipes she takes a break and as she sits down with food and drink, her cellphone jiggles her hip. She flips open her cellphone and is happy to hear Carrington's voice and listens as Carrington tells of being hired by Broadbent Herkimer as it's new COO. Summer is happy for her sister-in-law and the two chat. "Since you are going to be involved in turning around some blighted inner cities you will have to include Houston on your list to visit. I have been involved in the building of the Seaquarium here and working as the top Marine Biologist and would love some help in rejuvenating Houston. There are many problems here that should be worked on and I can only do so much".

June 1902. "Matthew, my old friend!! Bully good to see you again!! What brings you to Washington?". "I have come with some information that may be of use to you when dealing with William Hearst, Mr. President" replies Matthew Pitt. Matthew Pitt hands over a packet full of documents. "Why thank you, Matty! I sure do appreciate this and if you ever need a favor, just remember that I always honor my favors" replies the President. "I am attending the ball tonight with Lily and will see you there, Teddy. Good to see you as always".

November 1904. "I am not surprised that you would be taken in by the story of my involvement in a guns for drugs deal, Teddy, but I will back off on my attacks" replies William Hearst, who is chastened. Hearst turns and leaves President Roosevelt's office. A moment later, the Secretary of State, Elihu Root walks into the office and asks how the interview with Hearst went. "Very well, indeed Elihu. If it were not for Matthew Pitt's evidence and some corroborating stories about Hearst's involvement with that unscrupulous german, Rudolf Daggat it would have been impossible to bring him to heel. I told you that those germans are no good and mark my word they will be a danger in the near future. Now about Dr. Nicholas Butler of Columbia University, have you convinced him to parrot what I am saying about the trusts and other issues of concern, Elihu?". 'Yes, I have Teddy, and naturally he will say it without sounding like you" Elihu states. "Bully good!! It doesn't hurt to have someone of influence to help hawk the same concerns I have" returns Teddy.

September 17, 1917. George Pitt finishes his duty as lifeguard at Santa Monica beach and heads home. After settling in on the couch with a magazine and a snack, George relaxes. Matthew Pitt, his father walks in the door after a long day listening to reports on the AEF preparations for America's entry into the European war in his office at the Los Angeles Daily Times. George looks up and see's the look on his father and knows that he is going to be lectured. "George, I honestly believe that your job as a lifeguard is not good preparation for the war and I wish you would find a better job that can prepare you as a soldier" declares Matthew. Lily walks into the living room and kisses Matthew and smiles at her tall, handsome son. "I agree with your father, George, you should look for a decent job that pays better. I know you love the water and so do I but it is not a practical job in the long run". October 1918. First Lieutenant George Pitt, in the First Infantry Division at the trenches of Nancy, France, George reflects on those conversations as he stands in the muddy trench in France as he watches for signs of german troop movements. Having had a job at the beach back home did prepare him in his stamina and immune to the illnesses that everyone else has fallen victim to here in the muddy trenches. George is grateful for his health while waiting monotonously for some action. The next day, October 4 the attack was renewed against the germans. October 5 George was running with his division in the Meuse-Argonne woods when he was tripped by what he thought was a rock. Lying on the ground, George turned to look at what he had tripped over. It was a hand pushing a grenade towards him. George moved his rifle to knock the grenade back towards the hole it had popped out of. It did not explode. George turned around and started to dig until he saw a german trooper looking up at him. "Who the hell do you think you are?" asked George. "I am Herr Meinhard Daggat" spat the young man in his hole. George grabs his pistol and lazily aims it at the young man. The young german stares defiantly. An explosion occurs nearby that distracts George for a second. And when he looks again, the young man had disappeared. George slithers down the hole to follow knowing he was making a mistake to pursue the german. After a few minutes running after the soldier, George comes out of an opening and finds himself looking at three german troops who line up shoulder to shoulder but a grenade tossed from behind a bush takes the three men out and out steps an American soldier. George is grateful and follows his fellow trooper. They come across the german George was pursuing. Meinhard gets off a quick shot wounding the soldier next to George. George fires his pistol and wounds the german soldier. Meinhard looks at George wildly before taking off. George decides not to push his luck and tends to his fellow soldier before carrying him back to the front.

2021. After a quick tour of the cities that have already been rescued from blight by Broadbent Herkimer, Carrington Pitt then starts visiting some cities that need desperate help, with Houston first on her list. Summer is happy to see her sister-in-law and they spend some time together as Summer points out what the problems are in Houston. Carrington is shocked by the sights and smells of the poor and desolate areas of the city. Summer begins to explain that it will be just as bad if not worse in the cities Carrington still has to visit.

1921. Los Angeles, a growing city and with an ever increasing problem with crime finds George Pitt now a Los Angeles cop and married. Barbara Moore, a young dark haired beauty captured George's eye at a Movie house after he returned from the war. They dated for nearly a year until marrying in 1919. In a shootout during the summer of 1921, his first partner, Harry Beacham was killed. George was grazed by a bullet. Finally, in November, George cornered the man who shot Harry and beat him. It was then that the man revealed that he was a member of a german outfit that was led by a Meinhard Daggat. The name rang familiar to George and it took a few minutes for it to sink in where he remembered the man from. It was in the woods of the Meuse-Argonne where he had shot the young german soldier. George arrested the young fellow who had shot Harry and took him to Police Headquarters. The sergeant was not surprised when George informed him of an outfit that was sytematically breaking the law. "It's not uncommon, George that groups like the germans have banded together because of the way we treated them here in the states during the war and started to retaliate by organizing and breaking the laws" retorts Sergeant Mooney.

October 2021. At the ports of Los Angeles, Houston, Miami, and New York the drugs being run by the Mara Salvatruca and the ships of Daggat began to unload their innocuous cargoes and were immediately distributed by the inner city gangs. An immediate wave of druggies were happily stoned and crimes rose to pay for their beloved drugs. Homeland Security was shocked to find a wave of drugs and crime growing again in the inner cities after only six months of peace. Broadbent Herkimer and it's new COO Carrington Pitt and Law enforcement found their jobs stressful fighting the new wave.

2021. It had been a long and hard job getting the cargo out of the Clipper ship, Daggat, taking over a month with all the details and problems with the technology in the middle of the Pacific. With a budget of over $50 Million and using it to acquire the right technology had been challenging for a non-oceanographic outfit. Raoul de Pedras de Corazon nearly changed his mind on a daily basis out on the Ocean, overseeing the salvaging of drugs that were over a century and a half in age. Once the boxes were aboard the ship, Reliable Kasey, the drugs were removed and tested for usage. Fortunately the drugs had been well packaged and was still usable. After spending big money for the stuff, Raoul expected a huge return in profits. A shame he has to share it with Ruliff Daggat, he thinks to himself. Now that the drugs were flowing into the cities of North America, Raoul was ready to organize what was left of the Mara Salvatruca in the United States.

January 2022. After fighting tooth and nail over San Diego, Carrington Pitt was happily pleased with defeating the gangs, drug distributors, poor financial conditions and over two dozen decent people who stood up for their neighborhoods had lost their lives in the fight to take back their neighborhoods. It was bad enough that the economic powers in the country were against such forces with the laws in their favor to keep such blighted areas continously poor, Carrington did manage to extract stronger powers for the municipality involved. Phoenix was her next target and now touring the bad areas it was not going to be easy. Despite a bodyguard who traveled with her constantly she managed to talk to the people who lived in these areas and found some who wanted their neighborhoods back. She began to meet with the local officials and promised them help if they would enact stronger laws for the desperate areas. Zoning was one of the major concerns and it was always a battle to get multiple-use zoning out of the officials. She was offering what she could to make such zoning possible and workable. After drawing up a plan after talking with the people of Phoenix she decided to head to Seattle where NUMA HQ was and visit her husband, Dirk Jr. and also visit the bad areas of Seattle as well. She boarded a flight at Sky Harbor International and arrived in Seattle January 28, 2022. After deplaning she called NUMA to see if Dirk was there and when told that he was she rented a car and drove there. Before walking onto the elevator, Carrington took out her cellphone and called the kids. The house on Laurel Street in Mill Valley, CA was teeming with kids as a party was being held. Lily Christine Pitt, Evangeline and Dirk's oldest child answered the phone. Evangeline was barely able to hear a few words as they conversed for almost five minutes. After hanging up, Evangeline boarded the elevator and went up to see Dirk Pitt, Jr. the man she loved totally and now married to for just over seven years.

After spending four days in Seattle with her husband, and touring the blighted areas, Carrington received a call from the White House. President John Kennedy Jr. requested a meeting with her. Carrington left Sea-Tac International Airport aboard a flight bound for Washington, D.C. and arrived over three hours later. After being picked up at Reagan National Airport by a limousine, she directed the driver to drive to the Wardman Park Marriott on Connecticut Avenue where she registered, went to her room and showered, dressed and then rode in the limousine down Connecticut Avenue to the White House. After stepping out of the limousine she walked towards the West Wing entrance and was guided by a Secret Service agent to the Oval Office.

"Mrs. Pitt it is a pleasure to meet you". President John F. Kennedy Jr. stepped away from his desk and shook Carrington's hand. "I am pleased to meet you Mr. President" she replies. The President directs her to sit in the chair opposite the desk. He sit's down at his desk. "Mrs. Pitt I have heard of your excellent work in San Diego recently and your other efforts since you started working at Broadbent Herkimer less than a year ago and I would like to tell you of my legislative agenda that will make it easier for you, should Congress pass it of course. Also I would like to state that you have my support in your work to help the inner cities with the full support of my administration. In a few minutes, I would like to give you a Presidential Medal of Freedom at a ceremony just outside the Rose Garden. I am proud to have you as a fellow citizen working hard to turn our inner cities around with your tireless work and dedication. Also, it is commendable work in your efforts at fighting the new wave of drugs that have started pouring back into the cities and I am going to give it my full concentration to help you and the cities to fight this drug problem. And now, I think it is time for us to step outside for the ceremony is about to begin".

After the ceremony, Carrington, the President and the National Drug Offensive Coordinator, Melville Swaim met in the Oval office to go over some details that involve some coordination between the company and federal efforts at combating drugs in the cities. Just as the meeting was breaking up, the Chief of Staff, Randolph Leigh Agarn, walked into the Oval Office and announced a major riot in Houston that was turning violent.

Security from the Seaquarium were first on the scene and it got worse from there. When the police tried to bust it up it escalated when a rival gang tried to take out the police. Despite state police and national guards on the scene there now, it has swelled to over 70,000 people involved" stated Randolph Leigh Agarn, the White House Chief of Staff.

Harry Shaw, 52 year old resident of Harrisburg, a section of Houston was swinging away at a couple of young punks with a bat and was begiining to get winded and decided that he could not keep up the fight. He noticed other residents who were also tiring of the fight. A black woman only a couple of years older than him also decided she had enough and swayed over towards the curb when a young woman stepped towards her and was about to swing at the black woman when Harry took a swipe at the young woman and sent her sprawling into a couple of young teenage boys. Harry decided to join the black woman so that he could provide some defense. Harry saw one of the Security guards from the Seaquarium go down. The Seaquarium was located on Harrisburg Boulevard several blocks up. Other elderly neighbors soon joined Harry and the 50ish black woman on the curb. It had been over an hour now since the drug deal had gone down and the crowd of rioters still seemed restless against the numbers of gang members who kept egging the residents with taunts and fists. Despite the roar of the crowd Harry heard a strange whistling sound coming from the sky. Soon the rioting crowd heard it too. Sweeping over the city were metal fragments of a satellite rushing downwards on a trajectory towards the port authority just across the train tracks and the river. Soon there were geysers of hot water welling up from the river and other hot metal parts slammed into the port authority. Workers and Ship crewmembers ran from the hot fiery debris. Fires erupted in several buildings and ships docked at the port.

The local Houston NBC Affiliate, KPRC-2 and the local CBS aFfiliate KHOU-11 were filming the riot when the Satellite debris came overhead and the camera operators swung their cameras upward to catch it on TV and filmed the fiery debris as they hit the river and the port authority. One hot metal debris slammed into the railroad tracks on the west bank throwing up a spray of metal and dirt. Though know one saw it at first a good part of the ground was ripped and revealed what were two civil war cannons. Later they were determined to be the Guns of San Jacinto that had been used by Sam Houston in the Texas revolution for Independence and later in the Civil War. The guns had been manufactured by the Cincinnati foundry, Greenwood & Webb in 1835. Ruliff Daggatt and Raoul de Pedras de Corazon watched the riot on Television and smiled at each other that the drugs they had smuggled into America were causing havoc.

Finally, the riot began to break up and ambulances inched forward picking up the injured and nearly 20 people had died in the riot. Summer Pitt had briefly been part of the riot and was now speaking to a newscaster for KHOU-11 and described her part in trying to quell the fight in it's early stage but failing when others showed up to engorge the size of the crowd involved. Over 40 individuals had been arrested as a result. The mayor of Houston, Darlene Swithouser was on the spot for not doing enough to stop the riot. She got mad at an newscaster saying that she did what she could and felt justified. President Kennedy gave a terse statement to the press, "I am sorry indeed that drugs are the major cause of this riot and it is my sworn duty to try and put a stop to this new wave of drugs sweeping the country. I will do everything in my power to put a stop to the drugs and violence in this country".

June 29, 2022. Only a few ounces left of the Sixteen tons of Heroin and Cocaine from the holds of the Clipper ship, Daggat are sold for a high price and Raoul de Corazon de Piedras is at his wit's end with the South Americans who still manage to produce a little cocaine and are unwilling to sell to him. Addicts are getting restless again and wanting a fix are starting to trash their neighborhoods. Raoul tightens up his control of the few inner cities in which the Federal government and the Broadbent Herkimer Corporation are battling it out with his gangs. Ruliff finds himself rich but frustrated that the drugs have run out with no new supply in sight to help keep Raoul in power over the inner cities.

July 16, 2022. Many ships including two Daggat ships lay just outside the port of Houston awaiting the final day of reconstruction of the port. A small boat arrives at the Adama Krome, one of the Daggat ships. Ruliff steps off the small boat and boards the Adama Krome. Ruliff walks into the mess and sits down with several members of the crew. "We have an opportunity to strike a blow against the Broadbent Herkimer company by abducting the CEO, a woman named Carrington Pitt who is supposed to be at the ceremony of the reopening of the port. Let us go over the final plans and get moving before the ceremony starts".

Carrington Pitt gives her brief speech and with a big pair of scissors handed to her by the mayor of Houston, Darlene Swithouser. Carrington cuts the ribbon and a small explosion goes off just over fifteen feet away. The shock wave knocks Carrington, the Mayor and several people down. A billow of smoke pours over the raised deck and in the smoke three men with Gas masks on grab Carrington and haul off the deck and place her in a container box and head for a small boat tied up at a nearby dock. They get the box aboard the small boat and head out to the Adama Krome with well practiced ease and speed.

Aboard the Adama Krome, Carrington Pitt is removed from the box and placed in a small room with her legs and feet bound. Ruliff Daggat orders the captain of the Adama Krome to head out to sea. After the sun set's in the west, Ruliff opens the door and unties Carrington and leaves her a tray of food. Ruliff Daggat directs the captain of the ship to set a course for El Salvador. Nearly 36 hours later the Adama Krome lays just off the coast of El Salvador.

After the smoke had cleared and it appeared that Carrington had been kidnapped, Summer who was standing near Carrington at the ceremony calls her brother, Dirk and tells him that his wife, Carrington was kidnapped. She then calls the authorities. Later in the day the Adama Krome was noticed as having left and gone out to sea. When the ownership of the Adama Krome was determined it became clear that Ruliff Daggat was already known for the dispersal of the Heroin and Cocaine to the cities of North America and was now involved in the kidnapping. A few witnesses had seen several men carry a box onto a small boat and had headed out to the Adama Krome. The authorities had already been suspicious without evidence of the connection between Ruliff Daggat and Raoul de Corazon de Piedras in the smuggling of the drugs into the United States.

Dirk Jr. and Summer rode aboard the Coast Guard cutter, J.K. Rolfing as it plowed thru the waves on it's way towards the El Salvadoran coast. A nuclear submarine, the Los Angeles class David Lee Whelchel was running ahead of the Coast Guard ship and would arrive where the Daggat ship, Adama Krome hove to, just off the coast way ahead of the Coast Guard. Captain Rick Oswald, who commanded the J.K. Rolfing was making sure that Summer and Dirk were well taken care of.

Another Daggat ship, the Free Charles Taylor came abreast of the Adama Krome and Ruliff Daggat went over on a small boat to meet the group of mercenaries that he had hired to take care of the leadership of both the Mara Salvatrucca and El Salvador that were in Collusion with him on distributing the drugs in America. Ruliff was going to take control of the country with 225 meercenaries he had paid to help in taking the country and the MS-13 gang. They were in going over details of the plan when they heard the J.K. Rolfing hailing them with it's siren. They rose and were about to fire on the Coast Guard ship when a missile from the David Lee Whelchel struck and blew up the Free Charles Taylor. The Coast Guard ship and members of her crew swarmed aboard the Adama Krome and managed to take the rest of Ruliff's band of soldiers, crewmembers without any shots fired. The David Lee Whelchel surfaced and Summer and Dirk were taken on board after a small boat took them over from the coast guard ship. they met the crew members of the David Lee Whelchel and saw that the navy was preparing for an assault on the country with a large outfit of SEALs and Marines. A squadron of Navy fighters were on their way to provide air support. Afterwards they were taken back to the coast guard ship and met Carrington who was safe and uninjured. Then the Navy fighters soard overhead and began their strafing run as the SEALs and Marines were taking the beachhead and heading inland. Satellite Pictures aboard the David Lee Whechel were used to coordinate the assault. Over four hours later, many El Salvadoran and MS-13 gang members were dead and over a dozen American soldiers had lost their lives in the Assault. Several key members of the MS-13 were captured including raoul de Corazon de Piedras. They did not easily give up information on the leaders of the inner cities gangs in North America. With time and effort the MS-13 gangs in the cities that they had strong control of were taken with many lives lost including some civilian casualties of those Americans who helped take down the gangs. Broadbent Herkimer, led by it's CEO, Carrington pitt was widely hailed as a hero in helping the inner cities regain some self-respect. Money, Leadership and hard work would take time to clean up as much as could be done without violence or hatred. Many problems were intractable because of the endemic poor who were not able to help themselves in betterment were often given incentives and opportunities and still found themselves unable to do anything.
