Does anyone know who these guys are? Mind you, they certainly have some pretty good stuff on their listings, but how in the HECK can they get the bid up to over $200 on RTT (granted it's signed by CC) with it being price-clipped AND the DJ is in poor condition...not to mention the fact that their "Reserve Not Met" means they weren't parting with it for that amount! yike:

I have a RTT that is in PRISTINE condition that I think I would be lucky to get $100 for, much less $200+. I dunno about these guys. I asked Ebay about them and they replied they were legit.

I guess I'm just jealous that they can warrant their bids getting that hi, but I dunno... <_<

I know those auctions, I avoid that seller like the plague. I sold an RTT recently for over $150 that was in beautiful condition and only started the bid at $29.99. We are all different in how we do our auctions and I would never have a reserve on a Cussler book because I know what I am selling and that in and of itself will warrant the bids I get plus I have a 100% money back policy. I would hate to sell a book to someone, especially a Cussler book, that they didn't absolutely treasure.

Also, that seller can go back to the highest bidder and tell them they will sell them the book for the price they bid, although the reserve wasn't met and then get around having to pay any Ebay Final Value Fees, I know sellers that do that too and I don't buy from them either.

Does this make any sense?

I saw that book and wouldn't bid on it even if wass cheaper. Not in very good condition. Thanks for the heads - up on the seller Julie. w:
