Title: PDF documents
Description: and joining them

Sapper - July 18, 2006 09:42 AM (GMT)
I was wondering if any of you has any experience about joining pdf documents? I have many such files that are splitted in parts and i would like to join them to create one file instead of multiple ones.

Hey Sapper yes you can do it but it will cost $$$$$. You need to have a full blown copy of the software for Acrobat, which will allow you to muck with teh contents of the files.

The software you would need is Acrobat 7.0 Standard which costs $299 USD.

Good question though and if anyone else knows how to do it please clue us in.

Thanks for the answer, Julie. I have found few programs which allow you to do it but they are text-based and i prefer much more programs with graphical interface. The search continues.

Because i didn't find any other way to merge the files, i studied the text-based program i mentioned in previous post. It was surprisingly easy to use. I managed to join 3 files to one file.
Here's the instructions:Merge PDF-files
You will need these programs: GSview 4.8 and AFPL Ghostscript 8.53.
You may also need PS-driver from Adobe:PS-driver
